  • Storms were brewing in southeastern Wisconsin! We wanted to show you how we get our garden ready for a storm. This storm did not end up being as bad as it was initially projected to be. However, we never want to take chances that the garden plants and decor could be harmed in bad weather.
    We take you through the process of how we hunker down for a storm and how we set everything back up again. BONUS we also do a short garden tour so you can see some of our favorites growing in different parts of the garden.

    I enjoyed this so much! I can relate to getting everything just the way you want it, then hauling it all next to the house and into the garage to protect the plants from the storms. I laughed out loud when you talked about your secret stash of plants!! I ALWAYS think I'm finally done buying, but then can't resist another beautiful plant or two! Thanks for sharing! Love your gardens and your video style!

    I love your garden!! Such a great inspiration to me as I am also a gardener and UA-cam creator. You put a lot of work and love into growing your garden! All the hard work is paying off. I still have so much to learn about gardening and I appreciate your tips, tricks! I’d love to learn more about gardening from each other. Happy Harvest! 🌼🌻🐝☀️🌺👨‍🌾

    So miss my gardens in Wisconsin. New owners got lazy and it look sooo sad now. My wisteria covered the fence and the aroma was wonderful. I can relate to you wind issues and prayers for y’all. Hope the gardens do fine. Wisconsin is awesome

    Love your "girl space" with the pinks! Pretty sure most of us have a secret stash of plants we hide from our husbands! Lol I also go through the pre storm ritual of tucking everything in, and I dont mind it. But I bring all of my cushions and pillows inside so they dont get wet.

    hi Guys the place looks great you both have a done a great job, how often do you fertalize the plants in pots and veg garden, thanks for sharing your day.💖💖👍👍

    • @TheLawrenceGardenFarm
      @TheLawrenceGardenFarm  2 роки тому

      once a week at the moment for flowers and food. flowering containers aren’t organic, but raised beds and ground plot are, we alternate between either agrothrive or espoma for fertilizing and top dress around the plants with fresh compost or worm castings a few times a season. We do a mixture so that way we aren’t spending as much, and we are trying out new ways that require no purchases and just creating our own

      Ok, he showed some in one of our past videos, but he did record a few extra clips how he did it, we just used soaker hoses, and it’s wonderful and a simple solution. I can’t believe how much more time I have now that i don’t have to water all those by hand. Jason did an amazing job and i’m so grateful 🌿

    wow i just found your channel. I also live in Wisconsin and i am always looking for some one to help me on what to garden in this type of climes, Wisconsin some time can be really harsh, but one question what do you use to keep your flower blooms so beautiful. do you fertilized them and how often

    • @TheLawrenceGardenFarm
      @TheLawrenceGardenFarm  2 роки тому

      i’m so happy you found us, we do have many videos here on the channel about fertilizing and what we use on our flowers compared to what we use on our raised beds that carry food. For flowers we like Jack’s brand or peters, for food we use agrothrive or espoma. We use all water soluble and liquid so that way we can run it through our injector which pumps it through the water as we water with a hose. You can also use these mixed into a watering can. this year we have been working hard at starting to learn and create our own fertilizers through plants and poop🤣😂

    Good morning. Your noir garden is gorgeous. I have a question. I’m paranoid about sitting in my outdoor seating area because of snakes this time of year. Do you guys do anything in or around your gardens to prevent snakes?

    I wondered how soon after planting out your seedlings do you liquid fertilise? Do you wait 4-6 weeks to get over transplant shock or do you feed earlier?
