My old buddy had a friend named Dan that ran ale booth 1 long time ago. I heard the parties when it was in Devore were crazy. I wouldn't know, I was young at the time. Had an old friend that also worked at one of the toy booths back in 05,06,07. That is the first time I have seen the guy running the chai/coffee booth rockin a painted face. They have gotten pricey, one beer last year was 9$. Toad in a hole was 7/8 bux, ugh. I remember when their mead was 6$. WHOA you used to be able to CAMP! on site? That is sad that it is gone. Thanks Pharraoh you brought me some sad/fond memories.
I really miss the Ren faires since moving to the south. My son used to dress as a Barbarian and I was his slave. I wore my harem outfit from Morocco and we had a blast.
Hey Bro. My first trip to the Faire when I was 12. It was a field trip for school during the week to learn how to dance and make paper out of pulp. So we could entertain the normal folk on the weekend. It was magical. I went every year until my late 20's.
Cool video. My friends Josh and Sheree took me to my 1st Renaissance pleasure faire back in 1988. I have a really cool time every time I go. I wanted to go Saturday because it was pirate day. Couldn't because of doctors appointment. Another time.. Fish-and-chips look good but 65 duckett's?!... Ouch!! Thanks for taking us along.
The atmosphere could be ruined by people in regular clothes and they could make a profit if the items or food for sale wasn't marked up 500%. Otherwise the one who did dress up were awesome.

I was backpacking and slept on top of mt Baldy last night at 10,064' and the moon and star were perfect for the Muslim sign thing, well, long time fair goers, Calvin the Turk (rip) made me one out of silver. It is on my sword scabbard to this day. I have so many long time friends from fair but sadly they are slowly passing on or stopped going. If you are local, feel free to join us/me for a hike, camp, or just to have a few laughs. Life is short, our time is of great value. Peace be with you. Alan
