I always find James’ tasks really funny, until he explains them and they somehow get funnier
Such a good season. I am so happy you keep adding full episodes.
James' reaction @6:14 when Carry pulls them all in and Jessica claps on top of his head DEFINES EVERYTHING that makes this series the best one yet.
Task: you need to excite Alex Horne Alex: this task is heartfelt to me because I am Alex Horne
So Greg almost giving James a piledriver has done nothing to dissuade me that James is actually Greg's son.
No, but Asim Chaudhry is! 😂

It still winds me up that Kerry got away with bringing a friends box set in when the series ended in 2004 so you couldn’t have a complete box set from the 90s🤣🤣
Well Phil is obviously still alive post-90's, so would he not count either?? XD
Everyone knows the 90’s didn’t end until 2004. Look at a picture of Hillary Duff that year and tell me it wasn’t still 1999.
@@KelpTheGreat but Phil Wang "was created" in the 90s, the Friends box no. The series yes, the DVD set itself no.
@@KelpTheGreatPhil was released in the 90s. That box set was released in 2005. I’m with @hopevanrossum9909
Phil: *tongue thing*
Jessica: augh!
Kerry: ooh!
There's an important difference between an "ah!' of pleasure and an "ah!" of a horrified person.
It honestly freaked me out, I had to mute it. I don't like those ASMR things either, makes my skin crawl.
@@snazzypazzy
Are you Dutch by any chance?
I'm Dutch and I hate ASMR, last time I tried one video out, I nearly cried, it was awful. Rain on an umbrella, was supposed to sound nice. Awful.
@@Widdekuu91 I have the exact same response to both ASMR and Phil's tongue thing - it's like nails on a chalkboard for me. I'm afraid I'm not Dutch, I'm from the US. I know many people in the US love ASMR, so I suspect it's a personalized thing - for some reason, when three people hear weird mouth noises, one will feel nice shivers, one will feel nothing, and one will run screaming from the room.
@@ILuvAyeAye :P Well I asked Jasmijn is she was Dutch, because Jasmijn is quite a Dutch name. Jasmine would be German or English, that's why. She could also be Flemish though..
Either way, I'm so glad I found other people that don't like ASMR. It's horrific sometimes, when it appears out of nowhere in video's. Like loudly whispering in your ear or something.
I like the noises when I'm standing next to them myself (like the soft tingling of a metal element in the curtains, while the wind blows through them) but nót on a recording and nót so loud that it's "happening in your ear."
Anyone else find the confidence with which Greg said he could pick up James kinda hot?
definitely not a fox are you a fox?
pretty much everything Greg does is confident and hot
I saw a standup he did where he picked up a chick, literally, and set her on the edge of the stage. She absolutely melted. I mean she was presumably a fan to begin with since she had front row tickets, but still.
@@Cruxador Do you have a video link for that? I'd love to see!
@@littlemissmello I believe it was from his show called "Firing Cheeseballs at a Dog", you can search for it online
Jessica killed this episode, I was stomach laughing at her best noise challenge, even james was cacklin
Or was she just milking her air-horn skills?
I need a compilation of James laughing at Jess ASAP
yeah James like never laughs so when he does, you know it’s funny 😂
I started watching this season for Acaster but man I really love her energy
I just need to know how long Phil stayed at their house
Its James. Phil still cant leave. Every time he asks, James calls Greg and tells him the situation, then hands the phone to Phil. Phill becomes slightly more depressed and says "you are the Task master" "I did" "ok" "ok" "im sorry sir", and then hangs up and hands the phone back before going to do the dishes
I think I'd rather have the dog turds dropped on my face than have to listen to Phil's noise again
Rhod's sound itself was really satisfying, honestly
I think Jessica had a point with her noise. If you had heard that outside you'd say "What was that awful noise?" Not "What were those series of noises?"
I like how even Alex was like "these golf puns are terrible. I can't believe I wrote them" _and then he said them anyway_ 😂😂
I'm genuinely amazed at how good Greg is at reading lips
the best part of rhod's torture is that you can see broken eggs on the ground and some yolk on alex's chest, which means that rhod tried tossing eggs at him and for whatever reason they decided to leave it out of the cut
We need a Taskmaster XL, same as QI XL!
Holy shit! I never noticed!
According to another comment, he basically used an egg as mouth gag - and they cut it out due to getting too close to real torture..
Rhods golf solution was straight out of a shel Silverstein poem
Well now I had to google Shel Silverstein, thank you for introducing me
How everyone was laughing during Alex's banter in the beginning was just precious - for anyone who might not know, Taskmaster is HIS show. HE is the Taskmaster.
Thoroughly impressed with Rhod Gilbert on moving the hole.
I honestly thought Rhod was going to build the hole around the ball.
Me too, zero shots, we win
Same
It did say that the ball had to be struck, though. If it hadn’t, I daresay he *would* have built it around the ball.
28:04, the editor that smash cut to James just demolishing everything deserves a BAFTA and an OBE
Rhod's “People say my ADHD makes me shit at problem-solving" is the biggest fucking mood
kerry's "ooh" at phil's cursed twelve mouth action had me in hysterics
Man, this might be the best cast since season 2. Excuse me, I meant series 2 of course. xD
Series 4. Dennis, Lycett, Gedroich, and Fielding, ft Adafope. Can’t beat that group, they’re incredible
Series 5 wins it for me. Still the best chemistry till date!
2, 4, and 7 are superior
@@jane9250-h5v Agree to disagree. I preferred the Series 5 camaraderie and chemistry over the others, even though I enjoyed all of them. All entertaining in their own way, so I guess it's just subjective :)
@@christophermccarthy2801 Dennis had a methodical madness about him, lycett is a lovable troll, giedroyc is the funky mom, fielding is always unhinged (and surprisingly laddy, lol), but adefope puts it all together by being endearingly normal
Rhod is litterally trying to be a dominatrix with Alex and I love it.
i find it amusing that james' name is pronounced like they are pointing out an rpg character. " bill, a fighter. mike, a rogue. James, A caster."
40:10 ‘You’ve got a very strong accent, that’s the problem’ underrated line from Alex
phil wang is the most naturally funny person on this panel. hes quite subdued but so incredibly witty and totally random. imagine having him as a friend. how fun
He’s the brother of a friend of my friend and I can confirm he is as funny in ordinary life!
Plus you already know the general outline of his joint
Oh wow a positive comment about Phil, here before negativity.
I’d marry the man if he’d have me lol.
You can imagine having him as a friend much more vividly by listening to his BudPod podcast with his friend, Pierre Novellie!
Everyone: Hi James
James:
Hi alex
I can see now that during the prize tasks, Rhod Gilbert isn't playing to win. He's playing for keeps.
No one:
Phil Wang: thpthpthpthpthpthpthpthpthpthp
And Jessica: WOOOOOOOOOOOO-woooo! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! h e u g h h hh h
With everything happening in the world, this makes me calm down a bit.
I've been binging this show as if my life depended on it and there's no way that if I ever see Alex I could contain myself from shouting "it's little Alex Horne", as I look up at him
this series is truly the best about what makes taskmaster great, all the semantics, loop holes and people doing a bit
Most tried playing games with Alex, Rhod tortured the poor man, and Phil actually *calmed him down*. Loving this show.
ahh the episode that marks the start of the sexy greg photo saga
Taskmaster day, I was having a tough day and then you came along. Great season! Love this cast
I wonder how Phill Wang is doing living with James Acaster now. I hope they’ve made a good life together.
Yes. They are growing all their own food, which confuses and annoys their best friends who live next door.
This show made me fall in love with James Acaster. I love his aggressive energy!
A bit too aggressive in the putting though. It's not like boxing, where you try to punch *through* the other guy. You're supposed to end up closer.
Love how Alex has a go-pro on the back of his clipboard in the final task
Once read that the reason Greg was so good at the last task is because he used to teach at a deaf/hard of hearing school
Chris Eubats would beg to differ.
@@sfshinz whomst
Everyone always talks about James or Rhod but I think Phils probably the funniest and Jessica and Kerry are both really fun. Jessica's noises kill me. Really good chaotic cast, this and season 4 have been my favorite.
idk what i'd do without taskmaster in quarantine
I really love how James` entrances are included into the music, great work!
Greg and Rhod are friendship goals.
I love watching Alex genuinely having fun
