    im from a really small town and for my 18th birthday my aunt sent me to montana to with my cousins for a week and my one cousin played in a band and for the 4th of july they were scheduled for a gig at some rich people stuck up type of country club.. there were skeet shooting booths behind the stage in this huge field facing the mountains so i just hopped in line while my cousin played the gig and I shot for the first time. I fell in love haha .. so cool, I happened to be really good at it. I think this would be really fun to do professionally.

    real life shotgun: can shoot a flying small target with high hit chance and accuracy. If those are pigeons, they are now having pigeon BBQ party.
    video game shotgun: can't even hit a human sized target from 20 meters away.

    Hi, great video, very inspiring. I am in a power wheelchair now and have a collared disc at L 2-3 and bulging disc at L 4-5. They want to fuse me from my butt to the base of my skull. I think at 56 I am still too young for that much limitation on my spine. I love sports. I use to horseback riding, rode bulls, team roped, was a fly fisherman, biker, hiker, etc. Been stuck in this chair since 2015. I think I can do this with provisions. Not sure if I would need to stand and withstand the recoil with my arm, back and abdomen or if it would be possible to shoot from my chair. I shot skeet when I was younger, about 20-24 now I am 56. Do you jbe any suggestions for me as far as which I would need to do, stand or sit and maybe a suggestion of the gauge I should shoot? I use to shoot a 20-20 over and under. I'm not real big. 140 pounds and 5 foot 6 now, I think, when I stand. I really appreciate your help with this! I would really like to give it a shot... No pun intended ;)

      @PridePvPFaction 4 роки тому +1

      I have a seen a few guys shoot from wheelchairs, sorry to hear about your back. I would should a 20gauge over/under or maybe even at 28gauge. I'm sure local ranges would love to see you out there and would be more than willing to help you. Can't hurt to try! All the best wishes to you.

      That is international skeet. You can't have your gun shouldered and when you call pull there is up to a 3 second delay on the bird. Also, the bird is going 80 miles an hour. I for one can shoot a 100 in trap but I can't hit 10/25 in international skeet.

    I'm kinda new to shotguns so do they also get squid fires or is that a thing only for pump and semi automatic shotguns. If they do have squid fires that happen, they just get to retry?

    • @nesthell2
      @nesthell2 8 років тому +1

      Yes they have squibs but it would most likely just count as a miss.

    • @johnwells8270
      @johnwells8270 3 роки тому

      Depends on the rule set. All i can say in is the US if you short stroke the action on a pump it counts as a gun malfunction which if that happens more than 2 or 3 times (I forget which) out of 100 they start counting as misses after. If it is just a bad round of ammo it gets marked as an ammo malfunction and you have 2 or 3 of them per box of 25. In either case on a pair the first target is established as dead or lost depending on if you hit it but you need to shoot the pair over. If the first round is buggered though just toss it and continue as normal

      Allows for more competition. It was mixed for many years in the amateur realm because there weren't that many women competitors...as more women have entered the sport, they've created a separate category to encourage more women to compete.

      Yeah reduced 410 loads. Not impressed. We go out twice a month out 2-300 down range doing the same thing with regular 2 3/4 12 ga game loads. I mean it’s really nothing compared to a turkey load but a lot more than what these soy boys are shooting.

    • @johnwells8270
      @johnwells8270 3 роки тому

      There is A LOT wrong with what you said. Basically the rules dictate 2 3/4 inch shells with about 340 grains or13/16 oz of shot. This is to make the shot more difficult due to a less dense pattern, not to reduce recoil. This also has the effect of increasing velocity thus cutting down on lead which is important seeing as the targets are moving a good bit faster than your standard US skeet target as well as imparting more energy on target per pellet than standard 12ga. Long and short of it is before insulting someone do a little research and try doing what they do or else you might end up looking like an ass

      The format for ISSF finals is 2 pair doubles on 3, 4, and 5 with the first double being shot in traditional order, and the second being shot in reverse order (i.e. Station 3, shot a double breaking the high house first, then a double breaking the low house first) and then they return to station 4 for the final 2 pairs

      Thomas tressler Look, you don't shoot at those competitions. It's extremely safe. Competitors know to keep their guns unloaded and actions open. You never close your action unless you are putting your gun on a rack or standing there ready to shoot. An open gun can't shoot anybody.

    • @LemmingRush_
      @LemmingRush_ 8 років тому +6

      +David Martinez it doesnt matter
      Its called gun safety. You never point a barrel at anyone unloaded or not.
      Youve never taken a gun safety course? I mean, by all means go pointing your pipes at people all you want, try doing it in public sometime. Tell people its unloaded and that since the barrel is in half its 100% safe. Im sure thatll go over real well. The whole stigma around these sports is the fact that theyre using weapons. Not toys, real life guns. Theyre very design isnt to defend things, its to kill things. "Hunting shotgun" "assault rifle" but ive never run into a "self defence rifle"
      These athletes are not doing their sport any favors by pointing a gun, unloaded or not at a crowd of spectators, especially if youre supposed to be one of the best in the world.

    • @LemmingRush_
      @LemmingRush_ 8 років тому

      It doesnt matter, ive already told you
      -Safety classes teach you not to point a barrel at someone else
      -The stigma already surrounded by this sport means that its even worse of a thing to do, out in the cabin with friends, of course its fine. Its totally safe, but youre taking implications when nothing was implied

If there's no money to be made what's the insintive.Compensation is very important. If you don't make money. What's the cents excuse the pun..Think about it ,those shotguns cost thousand of dollars to buy...pleaser is one thing but wasting money is another thing.Well I guess if you have the money to blow and a chance to get away from your wife once and awhile why not go for it...
