- A Detroit police officer who has been hit with 85 complaints, and accused of harassing and threatening Black residents for years, was promoted to sergeant. 7 Investigator Ross Jones WXYZ looks into his record and speaks with people about their encounters with him.
They knew what he was doing, and they supported it.
They are a POS just like him.

So much corruption. The same officer gets dozens of complaints all alleging the same behavior and all of them are dismissed with no explanation. Some people seek out this type of career because they’re psychopathic and want to have power and authority over others, then they abuse that power, hurting innocent people and even shooting and killing dogs like this officer did. Police really need to start holding each other accountable, that could do something towards helping rebuild trust with the communities they’re sworn to protect and serve.
The truth always wins in the end, regardless how hard you deny it. Great job to the reporter for exposing him otherwise he’ll still be in the force.
His partner should be fired too for lying and covering for him.

In the statement the interm chief released he said that he was going to review all of the complaints personally and look into all of nthe command officers who didn't do anything. But nothing will happen

If a police officer violates your rights always make sure to file a written complaint. A verbal complaint is not good enough. Many people don't file complaints because they know their supervisors rubber stamp them and as "no wrongdoing found" But sometimes eventually they catch up to him. There are probably 100 other people that didn't want to waste their time that didn't file a written complaint against this officer. If every victim filed a complaint against that officer he would probably have 200+.
An independent panel should be in charge of police complaints the police investigation is compromised they should never investigate themselves 😡😡😡😡

Something HAS to be done and it's up to us, the civilians of our community to put our depts in check. Go out and protest write your state legislature or lobby. He partially correct we need to stop complaining about very obvious corruption and it's the only way our voices are heard. Otherwise, we're going to be seeing more crimes against innocent victims and they'll be harsher, including murder like George Floyd. That there inlies the official problem those complaints are not reviewed nor determined by an authorized objective 3rd party. Thats just one motion that needs to change in a plethora of problematic issues with law enforcement. We need to get any officers with 3 strikes of repremandation expelled from the force and start over with good cops and new recruits. Before enlisted they must be evaluated by a trained psychiatrist. Then the entire training paradigm must shift whereby their reminded that their OUR servants and learn how NOT to escalate stops just bc the civiluan refuses to answer questions or affirms any other constitutional right. Finally we need to abolish police immunity ALL TOGETHER and hold them accountable for their actions by financially penalizing them out of their own pensions. Once these few measures are taken I'd guarantee you, things would drastically change. The police have become a gang-like community of so-called brotherhood which implies a don't ask don't tell/ cover-up and us vs. them mentalities that have got to be extinguished immediately.

Donald Trump is not clean either as he also helped to expand on this program of police without borders. If you want to know why the police are so brutal take a look at who they have working alongside them in the US police departments from China. This guy changed his name to Steven because Choe was too damned obvious. I've met many Chinese that are able to adapt and even pick up an American accent pretty quickly within the course of a year or two after moving here from China.

In this case, the 85 complaints means that there's an absolutely huge amount of people that didn't complain and we will never know about... This is a bad cop, not only should he be removed from the department, he should be removed from law enforcement in it's entirety.
The cop should be in jail for abuse of power, law breaking and lying on police reports.

just record him. sting operation. get him on a recording using the n word and making illegal threats. should be easy to do if he does that all the time. get long island auditor to do it. that cop will lose his patience in about 10 seconds. I like these auditing channels, i wish they would morph into catching bad cops on camera being dirty. But I guess if hes that dirty theres a chance he may shoot someone that would be bad. Qualified Immunity is bad, but qualified immunity "only" inhibits or prevents civil suits and similar actions against cops.
Without qualified immunity, he would have been opened up to many civil lawsuits that he would have been personally responsible for, but it would have nothing to do with the unilateral dismissal of these complaints against him.
You do not understand what Qualified Immunity means, and probably shouldn’t use it in a sentence.
Somebody lied to you kids about Qualified Immunity is. It protects them from lawsuits while doing their job but not if they violate your "statutory or constitutional rights".

I worked in juvenile psych for 10 years with the State. We had a independent department that investigated complaints against us. We weren’t investigated by ourselves.
