Brilliant! Been doing portraits for years and have seen many videos on breaking down shapes. But this one helps a lot. Some times someone's teaching just clicks. Thank you. Subscribing!
I'm so glad the videos helps you! I understand it's not always easy explaining things that are in our head sometimes. And thank you so much for subscribing! 😀
Beautiful illustration , i also used to draw with grids until i found drawing freehand gives you more control and improves your creativity . starting with simple shapes then gradually adding little details until its well detailed taught me patience with my art.
Yes, I totally agree, start with the bigger shapes then gradually add the details. It's not so easy to do, especially when one is still struggling with the other drawing aspects, but it's really rewarding. Thanks for the comment! 😃
Thank you very much for this really helpful video! I don't often do portraits but when I do, I use a light box. I don't trace everything but just enough for accuracy. Next time I will try your method!
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️OMG you left me speechless !!!! The subject, recommendations, music and all the paintings were wonderful♥️♥️♥️ But most importantly, after all the exams and lessons, I really needed something good today 🥲 Thank you a million times🤎🧸🤎🧸🤎
Thank you so much Sophia, and thabk you for those kind words. It's really nothing. I'm so glad you liked the video. 🤗🤗 I'm happy to be able to do something good for you. And good luck for the exams too!! 😀😀💪🏻💪🏻
I think I have problem with my drawing paper not smooth, how to draw really smooth, especially the skin tone with pencil. Thank you Armada, you're the best!
Where do you find the references for your drawings? They look awesome. I am a beginner and I want to find the right references, so are there any suggestions?
I use Instagram, when I see a photo of someone I like, I follow them and ask to draw them for free for my UA-cam channel. And usually they don't mind at all. This photo was from Google, because Tom Holland is a well known celebrity, so it's easy to find his photo.
For drawing people, start small. Draw a nose, draw a mouth. Never draw the whole face if you're not ready. Start simple and when it's too easy start combining things, draw 2 eyes, draw mouth and nose, etc.
Hahahaha, no it's not cheating. I only use 2 pencils, 4B mechanical pencil and 8B. The skin tone is 4B and I shade very lightly and then make it softer using a brush. 😃
What do you mean? Did you mean how to level up from beginner to advance? It's different from person to person. Perhaps this guy has problems with shading, while other guy has problems with proportion, etc.
Do you prefer listening to my guitar or piano?
Guitar....
Honestly it's very difficult to choose I like both of them soo much, but at the moment if I have to choose one I'll choose the piano 🎹 🖤🤍
