FILM SYNOPSIS♡
The Scary Godmother Halloween Spooktakular is based on the comics and children's books of popular artist and writer Jill Thompson. Jill has won numerous awards for her fabulous watercolour paintings and illustrations. Scary Godmother is the whimsical all-ages story that follows the first trick-or-treating adventure of Hannah Marie, a young girl whose rotten older cousin is babysitting her one dark Halloween. Unhappy to be saddled with Hannah, her cousin cooks a scheme to frighten her. But his scheme backfires when Hannah gets help from her Scary Godmother. Scary Godmother takes Hannah to her realm on the Fright Side where she is throwing the best Halloween party in all of frightdom. At the party, Hannah is introduced to many colourful characters, learns that not all monsters are mean and enlists her new spooky friends to teach Jimmy a lesson.

I had a crush on the vampire boy as a kid but I grew into Skully lol. Also I watched this every year and was today years old when I learned their were books. The stylization of the terrible animation adds so much charm. I love this little special and am so happy you reacted to it.

I love the Scary Godmother movies! They’re the best Halloween specials that Nickelodeon has! I always loved Boozle and said if I ever get an all white cat that’s what Imma name it :)
I’m not gonna lie certain scenes scared me as a kid. I think it’s in the second one where Jimmy’s face gets stuck and I was HORRIFIED that would happen to me as kid! I would scream if I noticed I was doing the same facial expressions too much so can’t say it’s not scary 😂
Edit: I’m surprised Rukiya didn’t put the witch hat *on top* of her headphones after she got them on.

This fever dream of a movie had some kind of charm that had me fully invested back in the day. I just loved the idea of being whisked away to a Halloween realm by my witch godmother. Didn't this used to air on Cartoon Network? That's my only memory of ever watching it! And I would not be mad at all if you reacted to the sequel too 😍

This movie was my childhood, i'd watch after trick or treating all the time. I actually was upset when they stopped showing it on tv but my mom found it on youtube and she as well as my sisters all watched it although my youngest didn't really know the movie it stopped airing before she could really understand it, Also i love Bug-a-boo because he's so sweet also it's my mom's nickname for me

As a kid I used to watch this movie and the sequel every year around Halloween but then they stopped airing it on tv for some reason so I just bought the movies to continue my little tradition. I'm so glad you reacted to this movie! Have you seen the sequel to Scary Godmother? I love both but I could just be biased.

I loved this soecial so much growing up! Im so pleasantly surprised youve done it! Such good vibes, like always. I hope you do the sequel! Even if you decide to wait until next October, i dont mind waiting. Definitely worth, it gets crazier if i remember. The animation is so unique and i wish more movies done that.

I remember both Halloween Soooktacular & The Revenge of Jimmy every year on Cartoon Network in October when I was in Elementary & Middle school. The last(FINAL) time I saw both specials was October 2013.
