Draining petrol from 2005 diesel hilux

Car now drives fine. After putting 10l petrol into her diesel hilux but NOT firing up the engine, we drained my friend's fuel tank by connecting sanother hose before the filter, in the engine bay, put 3 lots of 5-10l diesel in re-draining each time (=dilute and remove each time) before filling tank with diesel. Hand pumped the little primer button on top of the filter housing, car started fine and rrives fine. UK's Misfuel Solutions says mix ok up to 7.5% on most cars, but we diluted and drained multiple times to be safe.
If you can find the fuel pump relay, pull it out and use a paperclip to trigger pump to force pump in the tank to work, use that to pump fuel out.
