- A drummer's eye view of Chris Worley's custom Dios kit. We took a standard set of dios drums, in 13/14/16 configuration with a pair of 20x24 kick drums. Round that out with a 20" bass drum converted to a floor tom, and a Cast Chrome snare, and add in a custom paint job from Chris's tattoo artist, and you have a recipe for Rock and Roll MAYHEM!

I hung out with Chris and the band somewhere around 1995, and absolutely the nicest guys ever ! I've been around a lot of bands, but these guys are the real deal !!! Somehow I got involved with loading out equipment after the show, great memories ! PAPOW !!!

Love this band I have seen them 24 times and would go every week, if it was possible,love his drum kits you make for him,and I live in Florida and was listening to that radio show when the whole dean drum kit happened,you guys make great drums,and you couldnt have partnered with a better band,I think they are the hardest working band in rock history.The first time I saw or heard of them was back in 92 they opened for Damn Yankees,at Radio city music hall in New York City,and I have been hooked ever since,keep rockin and pumping out those awsome drum kits.
I bought an SE Flyer set with an 18 inch kick drum. Poplar shells. They sound FANTASTIC! I don't play my "regular" Gretsch set anymore. Thank you DDRUM ya'll rock!
Just love to hear interviews with band members... It so awesome to hear how their paths in life made them who they are...definitely know Chris is still a true homegrown boy at heart...love them roots!!!

Being as much a fan of drumming as I am of playing, and having seen Jackyl live a few times, there's one element of Chris Worley's playing that has struck me as all but completely unique to his style - his ability to completely convince you that what he's doing and your enjoyment of it is all he cares about. So when he says that they do it because they want to and not because they have to... man, he ain't kiddin'.
I know exactly what you mean (I'm heading to my 50th Jackyl show this weekend!). His bro Jeff is the same - you know these dudes get tired, they tour constantly - but every time I bring a newbie to a show, they're blown away by how into it they all seem to be, and especially the Worley brothers - every show they play like it's their first.
He said he has a 14” Tom, but ddrum doesn’t offer one. How can you get one besides cutting down a 14” floor tom?

After hearing the new disc, I decided Jackyl fricken rocks, and dude is a BADASS rock drummer. Solid down to the ground- and his recorded sound (especially the snare) is outstanding. If it was recorded with his ddrum kit- and no triggering- those are some well-made, and well tuned drums.

I just saw these guys last night in florida @ 46 i talked to chris my self he stands next to these bad ass d-drums and he told me they play D Guitars too, and man do they sound great and chris is a BAMF. Before his switch to ddrum, didn't Chris play that last Ludwig kit for a LONG time? The vibe I got was that if you were a Ludwig endorsed rock drummer, and your name wasn't Alex Van Halen, you were very low priority in the late 90s/early 2000s.

To bad DDRUMs doesn't make more Chris Worleys artist series with various graphics he has done in the past drum kits. The graphics on his drum kits are nice
I loved my ddrum kits but switch to Ludwig because when I went to order my 3rd ddrum kit the dealer I got my other kits no longer carried them. I called 7 other dealers and none of them wanted to sell me a dio's kit. I will say the are awesome drums for the money...just good luck getting kit of your choice. I even talked to a Rep about it but I don't remember his name it was 2 years ago and he couldn't do anything.
Reply to Rich having known the guys for many years the one thing I can say about Chris is that from a bass players point of few Chris is a bass players dream. When Chris hits his snare or kick you know where the "pocket" is.

That's the list I used to try to get a kit. I would make sure they all have the latest information and pricing and the are knowledgeable about your products. This is what I was most disappointed in when calling trying to get a kit. You have a killer product, it still disappoints me because of this is why I switched drum companies.
I have the exact same kit with smaller toms and only one bass drum. Need a plan to come up w/ a 2nd kick

That's crazy - I've seen them 3x at the Star Plaza, but the second time Jeff was walking around just hanging, and he chatted w/me for a little bit, was very cool. But you're right, I've seen Jackyl 32 times now and they continue to rock out w/their cocks out.

My Dad owns the original drum set that Chris Worley used in 1992. The one he refers to in this video as having the hazard graphics and HUGE kick drums. They are 26x 20 or maybe 24..im not completely sure.
