You’re right....Mike never does. And that’s something I noticed through all their years together. They were really a phenomenal professional team (in addition to friends). Tom always credited Mike for making him into the guitar player he was. I don’t doubt it for a second.

Jamie Martinez Jamie, cool story about Pat...I went to a TP show back in I think '83 and I was front stage watching Pat sing and dance. I was really getting into her and she saw that I was. So she she started doing sexy moves for me. Looking right at me! My wife saw what was going on between us and said "Danny what the fuck are you doing?" Said "sorry hun, but I'm in love with her!". Must have seen Tommy at least 10 times over the years. That was the most memorable!
That's a really cool story Jamie. I saw them twice, 1981 at the Alladin casino theater, which is no longer there & didn't have a bad seat in the house. 1986 somewhere in an LA outdoor venue which I can't remember where. Consuming too many... consumables myself. I love Pat Peterson too. Both girls were just fantastic.
That was TOM!👌. All the “cool” jackets he wore back then? They were all quintessential Tom. And yes, for the times, they were just perfect. His outfits and the way he dressed changed throughout the years. Love to see it❤️

Mike is one of THE most underrated guitar players in the music industry. Tom was soooooo fortunate to have Mike (and to keep him) in his band for his whole career. Heartbreakers wouldn’t be the Heartbreakers without Mike (or Benmont either!).
