Julia Roberts was already famous when she did Law and Order. She was dating Benjamin Brat at the time, though, so did the role cause he asked. Lots of actors who were already famous have done Law and Order in small, but incredible parts (e.g. Robin Williams, Jason Alexander, etc.). But...I also love looking at the actors who "got their start" on the show, and are famous now.
