@Regium Apparel Tiny rhinestones can get a pass, sometimes. Depending on the design, they can look high-end. Large, chunky, or dull rhinestones got to go.

@@sw1668 if I didn’t hear him why would I say ‘don’t listen to this dude’ think first. you don’t need an established brand to have a logo tee. My opinion.
Looking forward for the video of what design shirt trends will be "IN" on 2023. As I've been doing the logo mark on my tshirt and I think you're right, it actually fails.
At least in México, I haven't seen these trends too much (except of the logo trend one, I've seen a lot of national/local brands trying to sell their logo tees), but I agree with u. Maybe is because the US trends come to México like months/years later hahaha nice vid btw!
In my country is the same, these trends that are ''outdated'' in the us, are just starting to come up in my country, so you kinda can see ahead of time and design these exact tees lol
Thank you bro! But do what you love. Not what someone told you to do. This video is definitely insightful & I love this channel but I’m going to make EVERYTHING I love. Trends come and go. Don’t follow trends. Focus on creating timeless garments & graphics. Design with that mindset💡 designing to follow the latest trends takes away from being creative and original in the first place. Just make your design have actual meaning.. not just aesthetically pleasing to look at. You’ll be fine, do what you love. Keep innovating
sure if you want to go that route then it's fine. but why not capitalize the trends to your advantage and make extra bucks? a little more profit won't hurt.
@@IntuitiveDesigns but doing something that you love and that's not a trend can also make you profit...if butterflies is something I love then for sure I'm going to do that
I think your points are quite valid and I definitely see these trends being rinsed way too much, but at the same time do you think (for everything but bootlegging that is) there are ways to incorporate some core elements into newer styles that would result in sort of a blend of familiarity and innovation?
from the perspective of a consumer, i dont care for graphics as much as i do a uniquely constructed garment. that leads me to purchase items from Yohji. Smaller brands that accomplish this are Adam Small and Somar. i do enjoy Paynestar who does more work with graphics but the cuts are still very well designed. anyways focus more on the garment than the graphic.
Idk I’d rather take your advice than his at this point. In no way did he mention how to push new trends by incorporating different elements n now that you mention it the video on its way? BS
This helped me alot, im a starting streetwear brand, mostly baggy for skaters(because its gaining pops) and logo tees u can sell, but make a cool design on the back(whole back) and maybe a small logo in the front and the LABEL IS IMPORTANT
Riccardo Tisci while at Givenchy is the originator credited with the Doberman & Rottweiler design tee. Those 2 brothers at Represent copy everyone and do nothing original. You were spot on about those 5 trends however forgot the smiley face trend. That’s over with!
Rap and Metal are actually so similar. The logo tee is spot on. So many new unknown brands think people are going to want to wear a tee with their name on, with no identity. It’s ridiculous.
Dann ... I designed my whole shit with logos already hahahaha .. Hopefully it looks appealing enough for people to get inspired to wear it . Thanks for this video tho !! really good info to keep in mind !!

To add, avoid as much as possible to follow the trend of ian connor, and his sicko brand. many of the start-up streetwear brands look very similar today. as my college professor says, a brand is the reflection and essence of the owner or designer, don't turn your essence into something universal just to follow trends.
Gotta agree with the ian connor's sicko part, copies are getting way too generic. Although I disagree with not following trends, it's an excellent way to generate sales for your brand but of course, do it without sacrificing your brand identity.
@@IntuitiveDesigns Sure bro, there are trends that someone can apply to your brand, for example vintage finishes, worn with the effect of cracked silkscreen, as in the t-shirts of the 90s. but applying to a vision of your brand. We see that in brands like hellstar and others, but there are trends that people copy exactly and that are like the main insignia of the brand they are copying, for example Ian Conor with the girl's t-shirt and his logo or the futuristic and Indian type of typography. Then it is no longer inspiration but a reproduction of someone else's vision and concept, and this is what happens with most brands in the USA nowadays. Besides tiktok as a prime mover. I'm a graphic designer myself and I know it's good money but I think the whole t shirt/ hoodie culture need to change, we need to create something new, I don't know what exactly but something original and new, it's up for creative minds in the fashion industry to figure it out and it's up for us to start discouraging the trends that turned us all into copies of our selves basically having the same style with slight differences, idk bout anyone else but that's me🤷🏻♂️
graphic tees/hoodies are the basis for starting a clothing brand. it is cheaper and more cost-efficient, it's just how it's always been. once you scale up and you get some cash flowing in, then you can experiment with cut and sew. you should know custom pieces cost a lot to produce (even for samples) too if you're a designer.
