YHWH, le tétagramme n’est pas un mot sémitique. Il s’agit d’un nom composé, d’origine égyptienne.
YHWH est facile à prononcer quand on le revet de ses signes diactriques, ce qui par adjonction des voyelles dans les langues latines donne ceci: YaHuWaH.
YaHuWaH se décompose ainsi: YaH + HuWaH
(en hébreu le dernier H n’est jamais prononcé, comme pour le prénom Sarah)
HuWaH = Lui , et ce en ancien égyptien, en arabe, en araméen et en hébreu.
YaH = est un nom porté par une divinité égyptienne, qui dut certainement être récupéré et utilisé par les Hébreux comme nom générique. D'ailleurs, l'Ancien Testament commence par une phase Yahviste avant de transiter par la suite vers une phase Eloïste.
YaH + HuWaH = c’est lui Dieu.
Yah se retrouve dans pas mal de prénoms et de mots hébreux (composés). Cela s’explique aisément, les hébreux étant nés et ayant passé à peu près 400 ans en Égypte, forcément la culture égyptienne y survécut de façon sous-jacente fort omniprésente ; l’usage du terme Yah en témoigne.
