The bent leg Chasse seems great for ensuring your opponent cant chase after you. do you feel it will still score consistently in Savate? or does it depend on the judge?

You know, it probably has more to do with situation than the judge. If there were no need to throw a short kick, it would look like poor form and gain no point. But if it rescued a messy situation, or reasserted long-range when things were getting clashy, likely a point-winner.
