Definitely 100% buying this. I saw this and played it when it was brand new in 1987 at the arcade. I can still remember seeing it at the arcade no one was playing it because it was a Saturday night and the mall was closing soon. So after admiring the artwork and watching the demo for a couple minutes I finally played it. It was only there for 2 months and then gone I was so mad and sad. I guess it didn’t make enough money. I was always at that arcade almost every Saturday night as a kid so I knew when a new game would come in. I never saw this game again until now.I love this game. Wow 30 plus years later. I never forgot this game after all this time.
Originally released in May of 1987 in North America and in October of that same year in Japan, Konami's Dark Adventure (a.k.a. "Devil World'' outside of North America) is considered to be the company's answer to the fantasy dungeon crawler game Gauntlet by Atari Games, which was released 2 years earlier. Story wise, players assume the roles of Condor the Archaeologist, his apprentice named Zorlock, and a reporter named Labryna, who find themselves in a strange realm after Condor opens the Sacred Ark without considering it's repercussions. What follows is an adventure in the aforementioned realm where creatures like minotaurs, mud monsters and dragons threaten their lives in a 40 stage adventure. Alongside the aforementioned creatures, players must trek across rickety bridges and platforms that float on dangerous molten lava. Featured in this game is the original 3 player North American version known as Dark Adventure, and it's 2 player variants, Devil World (International Version), and it's Japanese version known as Majū No Ohkokū which literally translates to Kingdom of the Evil Beast.
Indeed. Dark Adventure is the first version of this game and it's the first 3 player game for Konami. Other differences include a button for throwing Dynamite which only works once you obtained the Dynamite. Another button that is dedicated to Dark Adventure is the Map button which reveals a map of where you are. This doesn't work for all stages however. The major differences between Dark Adventure and Devil World is the inclusion of Zorlock, as well as the use of melee weapons by default (Labryna uses a sword, Zorlock uses a spear, and Condor uses a whip), where as in Devil World, Condor begins with a handgun and Labryna begins with a crossbow. Finally, Dark Adventure has 40 stages while Devil World abridges itself to 19 stages. One more thing, Dark Adventure's life system has the energy bars drain quickly too.

No, you idiot. We can't have Ms. Pac-Man on Arcade Archives due to the illegal AtGames dispute.
Never going to happen due to problems with licensing
