"If I Fell" may have some of the most beautiful harmonies in pop history and it was a joy having a go at this brilliant song. It’s been a while since we uploaded a video on UA-cam, mainly because we are busy working away on our new album. But this was a great little project to squeeze in and we hope you enjoy it!
It’s been a blue sky lately so we just had to go out to town and include some shots of Liverpool.
Stay groovy,
Mona and Lisa
I’m an old timer now and grew up with the Beatles music, and it was always an event each time they came out with a new song, in fact it was the background music to my life, but I have to say that your cover versions are absolute perfection, your harmonies are sublime, congratulations ML twins you have made an old Beatles fan very happy.
I am a self proclaimed Beatlemaniac and think this is one of their best songs ever. The ladies did a very, very good cover.
Precisely! I almost never enjoy covers of the Beatles. They’re such a precious band to me. But this song covered by the Mona Lisa twins is just beautifully done.
È bella rispecchia l'originale, è riconoscibile. I Beatles unici inimitabili
I agree with you 😊
I agree, one of their best songs a very good rendition. The unison parts are exceedingly important in this song, and in all the Beatles songs where they sang in unison.
Maybe the best early Beatles song. Right up there with "I Wanna Hold Your Hand." More heartfelt than "Yesterday." if you ask me.
I rarely like Beatles covers but the MonaLisa Twins kill it every time. Love this one so much.
My thoughts exactly 😊
Noi on ykkösmimmejä,meneekö perille
That's exactly what I was thinking too. And they being attractive women adds a new aspect to it as well. ❤
two beautiful twins singing beautiful music to the point I get tears in my eyes
One secret of the Beatles had were beautiful melodies combined with exquisite harmonies. The twins express this so beautifully.
To capture the light of The Beatles with such heart and soul is phenomenal. Gorgeous rendition.
Growing up with the Beatles..yes, the Long and Winding Road..in 64'. Never liked imitations of their songs..but have to say, well done. Is nice to see this younger generation..fifty years or so later, finally get the message..
Ahhh... Two more angels have made themselves known. ❤
The reason why I love these Beatles covers by the Mona Lisa Twins, they really aim to sing it the right way which is how they were originally written.
I don't know what is more beautiful, these two girls, or their sweet sweet Harmonies
Both! Lovely young ladies! So wonderful to see and hear them bringing back those Beatles and 60s memories from decades past!!
There is no point trying to answer this, just enjoy both and everything that they do!
This has always been one of the most beautiful songs ever written . The harmonies are incredible . You ladies do it high justice . The video is also gorgeous . I love black and white and I love you two .
Probably one of the best harmony songs ever. Done beautifully by the Twins
Listening to this version makes me realize just how good this song really is. Excellent job! Every now and then we have to be reminded how talented those boys from Liverpool were.
Bryan Main We do forget. Thanks to George Martin too for recognising how good they were.
And these girls really appreciate that also.
@@beagle7622 Yep, B76, not only did George Martin recognize how good they were, his prowess in the studio captured the best recordings of their compositions. Some of those early versions they did of their songs are a little rough, whew! But Martin polished them in the studio to fine, sparkling gems.
And we're reminded how talented these ladies from Austria are.
I couldn't agree better, Man.
This is my all-time favorite Beatles song. And you too just hit it out of the park. Barring Lennon and McCartney that's the most beautiful version of this song I've ever heard.
Simply stated, Lord McCartney must've wept with joy when he heard this. I did, shamelessly.
My goodness, I love Mona and Lisa!
My goodness, do you really? Oh my goodness!
Beatles are always impossible to beat but these two did a hell of a great job. Loved this version very much. Superb.
Awesome..!
Excellent harmony. Best Beatles cover
Awesome job, they can play on Mathew St anytime.
Yes, a lovely rendition. I have a serious distaste for those that butcher Beatles songs(think Joe Cocker). These gals were true to the music as it was written. In these times it is good to know that folks this young can appreciate pop music that was before their birth. They must have had good parents/grandparents.
Joe Cocker was an incredible artist and performer.
hats off to these young ladies
A masterpiece version of a masterpiece song.
Love how the ladies break the songs down to their simple beauty, and essence.
God bless you girls for doing covers of "The Beatles", for me the best band ever existed.
Please don't be mean. . .
Undoubtedly the best band ever.
@@OzTwanger And Genesis!
@@OzTwanger THE GREATEST BAND!!
I saw the Beatles live in Sydney, Australia. I was 13 and it seems like yesterday. No pun intended.
Lennon was such an outstanding songwriter and the Mona Lisa sisters'version is probably the best out the there. A mesmerising jewel 🦪
Stunning harmonies and a real feel for the Beatles music shines through. Absolutely beautiful music.
I grew up with the Beatles' music, and it makes me very happy to see two young girls appreciating their wonderful music and doing such beautiful covers of the songs. Awesome talent. Enjoyable listening.
I think this is one of the most beautiful melodies I've ever heard. The harmony just blows me away. Nearly two and a half million views. The two of you are just amazing.
It is indeed beautiful -- I recall it was the B-side to "And I Love Her" in the U.S. Both songs deserved to have been A-sides!
@@julianlewis1792 Indeed it was and yes, they both could have been A sides. "And I Love Her" is the ring tone on my phone for my wife, because I do. That said, "If I Fell", & "This Boy", are two of my favorite songs in their entire catalog. I am always drawn by the harmony those lads put together.
@@dizpatcher01 nice idea with the ring tone! Think I'll do that.
Absolutely brilliant they nailed it !☘️
Indeed!
for the record, this literally gives me chills.....not many songs do that, not even the beatles original masterpiece version of this song.

It's not just his music. The love that John stood for is also why so many of us still miss and think of him often. He'd surely love this version of the song, so sensitively and beautifully done.
I Subscribed to MonaLisa Twins for two reasons: 1) they're very talented; and 2) I've been a Beatles' fan for 60 years now, and they do the best Beatles' covers (not to mention Stones). It's a joy to listen to their beautiful renditions.
In my point of view, you girls are our current generation of The Beatles. I hope that someday people around the world would look over and see how amazingly talented you girls are! Cheers from South Padre Island!
I think this is the most beautiful performance of this song I've ever heard. A real ode to love.
ua-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/v-deo.html
This gives me goosebumps because I am seeing flashbacks of memories as a kid when the Beatles came out. If you made a movie of my life then this song would be the theme music.
Listening this July 30 23’ one of my all time fav too and MLT bring me joy💕
It's nice that young people today are enjoying singing the great songs of the 60's. Well done you two.
A true homage to the genius of the Beatles and their desire to harmonize.
The Look, The Harmonies, The Instruments and the passion. Well Done Gals! Billy Highmndr
Still shocking song writing: so simple, so genius--just one of those songs I hear--go to bed, and it plays over and over--and over in my head as I fall asleep--just too good.
ua-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/v-deo.html
A song in harmony that sears the heart. Hard to forget.
This video is awarded BEST COVER ON UA-cam! I hope this will still be seen in a thousand years time!
Agree. The Mona Lisa Twins and band deliver. The cello - adds to the beauty holding down the bottom. One of the BREAT Beatle ballads.
melt my heart thru my ears
Another great version of a Beatles song, by the best to young ladies on youtube, our Mona and Lisa.X
This is how the Beatles should be remembered, Very good job ladies, a beauty on its own. Thank you so much
for this enjoyment.
If I Fell is John's Here, There and Everywhere. It doesn't get enough recognition as it's an early composition. You've done a great job on this, ladies.
*Three million* views as of October 1, 2023 @ 6:35 pm PDT - sixth MLT video to reach that milestone!
Hopelessly in love with Mona and Lisa!
At age 15 I watched the Beatles for the first time on Ed Sullivan in February 1964. One week soon after, the Beatles had 5 songs in the Top 10. No artist or band had done that before, and probably not since. A magical time to experience each new Beatles song and album as it was released.
That's how I feel each time I listen to a Mona-Lisa cover or original songs for the first time - that same magic.
Fab Twins, I thought your cover of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" was my favorite, but this song was so heartfelt and sweet, now it too is a co-favorite of mine.
Thank you, Ladies for sharing your videos. Peace and Love from California!
How I love to listen to music and feel shivers down on my skin! Thank you!
One of the most beautiful, aching songs in history. Makes me weep every time. Nice take.
Well said Elmo!
Most beautiful! ❤️❤️❤️
Wow! That's all I can say. I grew up with the Beatles. You girls nail it, every time. Never been a band like them. And you girls make it look easy. Totally speechless. Not an easy band to copy. Good job.
These girls have an awesome sounds and in the same melody as the Fab Four. Love them beautiful melodies

A million listens later, this still melts my brain.
The two things I like best about the Twins is their natural timing and their joy in singing.
ua-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/v-deo.html
Mona and Lisa, we've so missed you and your wonderful music. I was so worried you were leaving us for good. I couldn't bear it. Thanks for this. We love you too!
With the possible exception of The Beatles themselves, nobody does a Beatles song sweeter than Mona & Lisa!
Bill Descoteaux love their songs, and have subscribe to FB, twitter and everywhere hey are. They're so young compared to me. I followed the Beatles when they began and Ed Sullivan hosted them. I also met the Beatles personal photographers in 1973 when The visited Windsor, Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 . Looking to purchase leather boots, we met on Ouellette Avenue then all of the next twelve or so hours they treated me to Beatles picture albums and even the snapshot we've all see the one used for the Abbey Road Album. Paul McCartney is still alive and it disturbs me to see posts that are discussing his death that was covered up, etc., since Paul demos have a living Son who verifies his Father's very livelihood . But I am sorry that he and Ringo are the only two of the four musicians who were able to join as a band and entertain so many people for so long so well. But, the Mona Lisa twins can do their music so well it's as if they have it in them to compose music as they did. I wonder of this...if they have composed any songs with or without lyrics.
I agree.I hope that more people discover The MonaLisa twins, and that they keep all the special qualities that make us love them. Beautiful voices and they seem so be so charming. I just ordered their two full length CD's.
I agree. They are great interpreters of Lennon/McCartney songs.
Bill Descoteaux ..These two girls could sing the phone book and would want to hear it. They have a great sound.
In my opinion, the cover of this one by Ilia Kate (Nov 27, 2012) is far superior. These women are talented but I find them to be super annoying in presentation and voice. I know I'm in the minority here...
The Beatles are gone. But there are you. It is such a breeze for me. I like to listen to you so much.
greetings

Well, here I am 4 years later. "Great Cover". And I'm still a fan!
This song is all you need to hear to know that the MonaLisa Twins are the real deal.
All I needed to hear was Bought myself a politician lol but this is great
These ladies are the real deal. Wonderful job with hitting those high notes.
ua-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/v-deo.html
How did four Scousers become the greatest band of all time, and two of them the greatest songwriters of all time? More than 50 years since they broke up I still marvel at their genius.
ua-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/v-deo.html
Love the ending with Lisa pointing the bow at the camera with a beautiful smile!
The combination of their voices, guitar ability and choice of songs almost hypnotizes me! Being cuter than a speckled pup doesn't hurt either.
Yet another wonderful recording by two extremely talented artists,
they sing i i fell with so much charm and soul.
I just found these girls on youtube 15 minutes ago. This is the 3rd song I have listened to and now, I am addicted! Well done ladies!
Listen to Day In The Life.... it will make you cry.
This think this is the best Beatles cover I've ever heard. Spot on voices and harmonies, just beautiful. Can anyone think of one better.
I should have said that in 1965, I watched the movie "A Hard Day's Night" at the cinema with my girlfriend. We were transfixed by the song then.
Check out the Beatles covers that Joe Cocker did in the '70's. "With a Little Help From My Friends" and "She Came In Through The Bathroom Window".
I disagree. I think your opinion is extreme and off-base.
You should listen to Marvin Gaye singing Yesterday and Gladys Knight singing Let It Be. There is an album Motown Sings The Beatles.
Sarah McLachlan singing "Blackbird"... it is like if the song was written for her voice...
As good as the Twins are, their renditions of the Beatle's ballads seems to be their real jam. They are beautiful in every respect, and I find myself wanting to come back to them frequently.
You all are the female version of Beatles songs memories..That is my view.
Very good...
Beautiful plain and simple
Why do I cry when I hear these beautiful voices?
Cause they're The Beatles 💔💔💔
Me too
Me 3
I’ve listened to this version dozens of times and I can’t believe what a beautiful production it is. The harmonies are wonderful and the instrumentation is perfect and unique.

The first MLT song that I listened to. Began the entire adventure. Thank you ladies!
This is my favorite song, I think its the best from monalisa beatles cover.
Different sound but the same feel, that is hard to achieve. Wunderbar
Wonderful version of a wonderful song. I've said it before and I'll say it again there aren't many artists who can do justice to the Beatles, especially with a song like this one, but these two bring tears to my eyes...
The twins got to the roots of this song's emotions! More so than the Fab 4 did! Just astonishing and so beautiful!
Next to "THE LADS" themselves, this is my favorite performance of this timeless classic (and the addition of the 'cello was a masterful touch).
Much respect to these *artists*, from a fellow music professional! 😁👍
And that bow point by Lisa at the end...EPIC!
Beautiful.
Ladies, this is absolutely superb- Great harmonies and fantastic cello.
love me some cello!!!!
I wonder if the girls will cover Cello Goodbye? Or Cello Submarine? What about Donavan's Cellow Yellow/ Yellow Cello? :-) Sorry couldn't resist.
This version by these lovely lasses made me close my eyes and smile...
Oh geezzz. I JUST finished recording my version of this song and I wish I had heard this version first, and I probably wouldn't had bothered. lol. They slowed it down a bit, and the harmony is beautiful. I love this rendition.
these ladies the way they sing just gets to my sould
I wish Macca would comment on this Masterpiece by these ladies. The most beautiful music can ever be! I congratulate you two on musical perfection, acty that doesn't cover what you two have done here. Simply stunning
ua-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/v-deo.html
Took a chance on this video and now I am speechless! WHAT A BEAUTIFUL RENDITION! So much emotion in the lyrics. The cello accents their voices along with the "simple" guitar. Again, all I can say is WOW! They are talented!
TWO ANGELS HARMONIZING!
ua-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/v-deo.html
This performance is sublime. The interplay of voices is magical and supported beautifully by the soulful instrumentation, especially the cello.
Simply beautiful. That would bring tears to a glass eye
A true gem... both the original song and this rendition. Your harmony gave me goosebumps... as good or better than John and Paul. But you bested them on breath control, and succeeded in completing the recording without running out of air. In all ways, well done!
Their very first "to you" sent shivers up and down my spine. Maybe because their production is so clean and performance so flawless, it helps us to really appreciate the genius of the song and the original arrangement as sung by John and Paul. Beautifully beautifully done!
The best I can make out is they have the wonderful harmony of The Everly Brothers. And the heart of The Beatles.😇✌🌻
ua-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/v-deo.html
Fantastic! What harmony and perfection! The Beatles made the music but I find some of your covers better than the original versions. Thanx so much, I cannot stop listening...
Your rendition has given me shivers down my spine..... not many songs have that effect. Bravo MonaLisa twins.......truly beautiful
ua-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/v-deo.html
lovely
They make this harmony stuff look easy.
As well as being pure talent, the photography, sound and editing is perfect

Just superb. A cover that I actually prefer to the original - and that’s a very, very rare occurrence. Thanks. ❤
Amazing... With cello...
Superb voices, great harmonious performance. I loved it.
So beautiful, it almost makes me cry.
Not only was the adding of the cello a masterful touch, your mixer/mixing was stunning in how it seemed to sort of come and go in the mix - just slightly surfacing from time to time - but never prominent/too obvious! Masterful indeed (from a 20-year soundman btw, if that matters - and a lifelong Beatles fanatic). I think The Lads would be very proud.
Well said. I was just focusing on the cello. It really does elevate the song.
brings tears to the eyes even to this day months apart from the first listening... you gals are great... hope you have a Great life of love and peace and much love that is endless...
Your vocal harmony is very beautiful as always. "If I Fell" is the first Beatles song I learned to play on the guitar, so I have a special attachment to this song.
