Sal and Evan make so much more sense why Tiki and Evan?

Was thinking the same thing. They could have picked anyone to be evans partner but to move tiki doesn’t make sense to me. Tiki and Tierney has been the best show on WFAN since Joe and Evan.

@@nizzin91that’s why they added that third person. (I forget the name, forgive me.) i think the big wigs understood tiki and Evan wouldn’t be enough so that’s why they had a 3rd person to bring into the mix. I hope all the shows do well. 👍

Cant even lie every time i heard sal fill in for someone, i always wondered how he did not have a prime time spot.. dude is so entertaining, funny and brings that energy.. happy for him but i do think tiki and tierney should have stayed the same and then Evan and sal together but i do think BT and sal can be legendary

I like Sal’s enthusiasm and wish him all the best but I stopped listening to his show after last years guaranteed Mets will win division shtick. I thought it seemed fake and contrived after the Mets started slumping. Then he finally admitted he was wrong at the end of the season. I just didn’t think that “ guaranteed Mets 1st place “ thing was genuine. I stopped listening to his show since then. However I like BT I may tune in just to check out the new mid day show.

Mid-days will be a better than Afternoon's. To me Tiki is the weakest link in this scenario. I don't think he is Evan's 1st choice either; he doesn't seem thrilled about this. There will be a shake- up after the 2nd ratings book.

Tiki is a professional and I know lots of Giants fans don’t like him in how he left the organization. But lots of Giants fans also love Tiki and will support his show. He will succeed with Evan imo

While i'm disappointed that BT and Tiki are being broken up, i think that BT and Sal has some potential. Sal is a lot of fun to listen to, especially whenever he has angry rant about the Mets. Of course his rants after the Braves beat the Mets are my personal favorites. I have a sadistic pleasure hearing a tortured Sal. 😂 I still haven't forgotten about his premature crowning the Mets division champs last year. I think that there will be some growing pains early on, but I think that BT and Sal will find their footing and gel as a team.
Evan and Tiki set up to fail so Sal and BT take afternoon drive with a Mike and the Mad Dog-esque show.
They should have just brought JJ back for the afternoons and paired him with Evan and left the mid day show alone.
They either should have put Sal or Brendan with Evan. I hope it works but I don’t see Evan & Tikki working

Sal Licata should not be in the mix, in my humble opinion and a lifelong WFAN fan.
I listen to the FAN at work every day and turn to classic rock at 2 because Craig, who I'm thrilled has gotten his act together and is finding great success, drives me crazy. Now, they bring in Sal, who I share teams with, but I also find really annoying. BT and Tiki were a good team, but things change, and we will see how it goes. BTW what's up with YT and the @ thing?

Mike had the best show. Evan has the most dynamic and interesting per9snality he cpuld do a show about any subject and work with anyone.indont know anyone as easyngoing as evan. Everybody rips on Mike but don't forget he had the afternoon slow for almost 20 years straight. Takes a great talent to do that. For the past couple of years there has been at least 5 different shows in the afternoon time slot including the horrific CMB disaster.

I think this was the wrong move. They should have moved Tiki and Tierney to the midday and Evan and sal at 10am.
I'm hoping for the best for these dudes but I'd be shocked if this new lineup lasts a year. I'm glad sal is off overnights he is too good for that slot

The people running the Fan have no brains in their heads. What they're doing is upsetting everyone in this scenario. The fans of TNT are annoyed for breaking them up, Tiki and Evan now have to grow a synergy (I personally don't think it'll work), which will take time that TNT have already built and to make things even more confusing, they're teaming Sal up with Tierney when they could have just put him with Evan. I'm sorry, but Tiki is just too bland for the afternoon, especially replacing the high energy and comedy of Carton.

Evan has to be energetic every day. Tiki is articulate and smart but very laid back. The energy has to come from Evan. Sal is a star. He's going to be great with anyone so long as his co-host can stand in Sal's light. That could be a problem.

I agree. The paring of Sal with Brandon is almost like combining two dynamos. It's going to be really interesting to see how it plays out. The afternoons are going to be interesting Craig is going to be a huge loss, Evan needs to pull out out the stops with Tiki.

Not really. I think Carton’s real competition is with Get Up on ESPN. The local team coverage on Boomer and Gio with NY sports overshadows their show although it’s shown nationally on CBS. Also, I don’t see it as a true competition.
It has been for months, if only technically like was said.
I gotta imagine Tierney isn't loving this. He's gotta be thinking tiki being gone to afternoons, may be what flips his hourglass, so to speak. The host spots are revolving doors, and because of recent success, they haven't had to spin open those doors for a while. But as history proves, once one of their doors starts revolving, usually the others follow suit. Once they have to shake up one spot, they can't help themselves but start shaking them all.
I think Susan Waldman should do afternoons by herself…ha ha….management you ruined both shows…do you ever listen to radio?

@@robertlavorna2968 I think they will start to annoy each other, but I think Sal will start to wear on BT. Tierney is a serious guy, I think his patience with Sal will wear thin and feathers will get ruffled. Evan is much more happy go lucky and can better deal with Sal's high energy.
