- Bunnyhopping your mountain bike isn't really about jumping over a high jump bar, it's about timing. You already know how to lift up your front wheel, and for most obstacles, it's the timing that needs our focus. In this video we're going to focus on our timing and we'll use a small pallet to time out our take off to get it right.

Nice! Great drill. Make sure to have extra air in the rear tire, it's super easy to pinch flat if you come up short, like I did last weekend 😢.

Plus, it’s very hard to judge your depth and distance when you use a high jump bar. It’s very unrealistic.
Agreed! I try my best to match my practice to the way I'm going to do it on trail...and I definitely don't think I would hop over a bar on trail.

Okay, I'm confident I can "bunny hop" up a curb. Got to work on the form. Need some video to see what I'm actually doing versus what I think I'm doing!
Awesome! Getting that video is always helpful, I use my phone all the time to check my form on different skills.
I just can't seem to time both at the proper time. I can get the front up but I am unable to get the back up as the front comes up. No t sure how to get around this.
Practice makes progress - definitely focus in on the rowing motion with your arms when you pedal scoop. Those two things should get the job done.
