- How to Disable Windows 10 Login Password and Lock Screen.
If check box is missing: • Netplwiz Missing 'User...
This tutorial will show you how to skip or bypass the login screen every time you start your Windows 10 computer, laptop, or tablet.
This will be accomplished by having Windows 10 login by automatically having Windows log you into your system without having to type in a password. It will type in your Windows password for you, without the need for any keyboard or mouse input. In essence, you are seeing how to how to disable the Windows 10 login password screen. This tutorial will not show you how to enter your computer without a password if you lost your password.
Topics addressed in this tutorial:
disable login password Windows 10
disable login screen Windows 10

disable password login Windows 10
Starting with Windows 8 and continuing into the modern Windows 10, users must type their password before logging into their account after booting or when switching user accounts. This Windows 10 password login screen will appear by default for any user account with which a password is associated.
While strong account passwords are important to maintain the security of your device, not every user wants or needs to enter their password every time they boot their PC. Thankfully, an option exists for users to disable and bypass the Windows 10 login screen, thus automatically log directly into their account when booting. Here’s how to do it:
First, log into your Windows 10 user account as you normally do by entering your password at the login screen. Next, click Start (or tap the Windows Key on your keyboard) and type netplwiz. The “netplwiz” command will appear as a search result in the Start Menu search. Hit Enter on your keyboard or click on the resulting start menu option to run it, and then follow the simple steps outlined in the tutorial above.
This tutorial will apply for computers, laptops, desktops, and tablets running the Windows 10 operating system (Home, Professional, Enterprise, Education) from all supported hardware manufactures, like Dell, HP, Acer, Asus, Toshiba, Lenovo, and Samsung). - Наука та технологія

What a blessing to find this short and effective video to get rid of an annoying and counterproductive process of needing to fill out the complete password every time. Thanks, just what I was looking for.
Glad it was helpful!
It's amazing that I had to type in some crazy thing into the search just to turn off the password. It should've just been right there in the "sign-in options"
this is why i HATE windows 10... wtf
They know they're holding the monopoly, doing shit without users' consent...
@@Sonsho haha thanks for the laugh. Every software/app maker is doing shit w/o users consent. WAKE UP. Windows has just been doing it longer

My computer made me sign up for a Microsoft account. What you told me wouldn't work at first. The login screen made it look like I had 2 users, which was really strange. To make a long story short, I converted my account from a Microsoft secured to a Local account, then the password delete option worked like a champ. Thank you so much for getting me pointed in the right direction.
i deleted my microsoft account and it still trys to force me to do a password. i went through this video once before a few weeks ago and it went away. today i had to restart my computer and right back to this video to do it all over again. so that tells me microsoft has a tricky way to re activate it.
EXACTLY what I needed and very good straight forward video. THANK YOU!

cool man. I've been looking to do this. thanks for uploading this video.
In the morning I usually turn the power on my PC before I go make myself breakfast, but when I'd get back it would be stuck on the login password screen, which was pretty pointless since I live alone now. Then I'd have to wait a while for my PC to "wake up" and get to normal operational speed. Now I can just press power and all my stuff automatically launch (which always takes a long time) while I'm busy doing stuff. Thank you so much! I dunno why Windows has got to make simple operations like this so complicated.
Beautiful tutorial, thanks, works perfectly and saves a lot of irritation starting my computer, much obliged 😊

not gonna lie:
i reinstalled my windows yesterday without being aware at all that pretty much everything on my pc would disappear and i remember i tweaked this thing myself at the beginning of this year, when i got my pc. i have read at least 5 articles, even a few on microsoft's official site over how to get rid of the pin , and when i was getting rid of the pin, it was requiring me the password, a lot of things similar to what this video was running through. ithen checked the comment section and i thought that the people who commented under this video were bots, because everyone was saying it worked and that it was amazing. i decided to follow your video and give it a final shot, and when i restarted again, (probably for the 20th time today only), i was relieved to see it was not requesting for a password anymore. thank you !!

I notice this video is from 5 years ago and I only had my laptop for around 2 years. Though the setup is different than what is in your video I had hardly no problems getting to what I want to know. However there is NO "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" and a box to uncheck. Otherwise everything in the Users Account box is the same. Do you have any other suggestions how I can disable my password? You did a great job of explaining everything but apparently your windows set up is a bit different than mine.
Do you still need help with this? You gotta turn off windows hello
Dude, I have been searching for how to change this all day. This was epic. Thanks!
if anyone getting dual accounts in the sign in page after doing this
1. go to "netplwiz" again
2. click on advanced on top
3. then manage passwords.
4. select windows credentials
5.there you will find a password select it and delete it.
later your dual accounts will vanish and you will sign in automatically
I did everything in the video, and I also did your suggestion, and I still have dual accounts and still have to use the password every time. What else could be the problem?
@@heatherbelzer885 Remove "Sign in pin / windows hello pin" if you have enabled.
1. go to netplwiz
2. untick users must enter a username and password to use this computer.
3.and select apply and then when it asks for password you need to enter the same exact password that you have kept as administrator password previously thats it press ok and restart the pc if it still get dual accounts and it asks for password .
you need to go for netplwiz and advanced>> manage passwords>> windows credentials>> clear if there is any windows credentials showing. that's it should solve your problem.
check out the sign in options only password must be enabled.

windows 10 just tries too hard to simplify everything with too much GUI that it feels like an iOS product... windows is supposed to be customizable. I like XP and 7... they were the best
You must be really dumb
@@NoOne-bg4nd
Maybe but to me win10 is pointless. My computer does not load programs or start up any faster. Nothing I use it for is any better. I am just your avg user. Win10 adds a bunch of unnecessary garbage like a cell phone does. Constantly updating with no say, less control (Many things I cant disable fully) and finding simple items like this above takes multiple steps. Awful software..Its no wonder that MS had to force it on users. Its just a giant data collection program
@@bobshanery5152 - yea, you're right. i 'm going to win10 now because the win7 support is about gone.
@@NoOne-bg4nd Oh, shut up. XP was simply revolutionary and 7 was a great improvement over XP. Microsoft never again has made an OS with as much improvement over the previous ones as they did with XP and 7. Yes, they might be dated nowadays, but that's the same as saying Citizen Kane is a bad movie because it can't compare to today's standards. THAT is just dumb.

Thank you so much. It was surprising how there aren't many tutorials on this, since a lot of people are having this problem.
If people are still watching this video in 2023 and the video don´t work for them, I figured out that I couldn´t get rid of my password because my account was protected by Windows Live account. You need to change that like this: Press win -> click on your profile -> Change account settings -> Your info. In "Your info" under your profile picture, there will be something like "Sign in with your Local account instead". Press that, you´ll have to confirm your Microsfot Live accounts password and after that you simply just don´t write any password in those blank spots. Once you save it it will Log-Out and once you log back in, there is no password, no pin, nothing.
Thank you for the info good sir.
