Mulan, Red, and Merida made such a great trio. This was a great episode.

Now, in Canon the Merida stuff was only subtext. But... to go back to @cinnamonasmr comment. Yes... tons of fanfics about all of these awesome ladies. Together and with other women on the show.

Anyone else remember that before Mulan left she said that she had to tell Aurora something. Then when Aurora said that she was pregnant Mulan decided to leave. I think Mulan became a lesbian for Aurora.
Or maybe that Mulan had feelings for Philip cause in one episode Aurora was talking to Mulan about Philip and Mulan rolled her eyes and Aurora said you do like Philip. Maybe the writes changed the storyline.

Mulan's love for Aurora wasn't real just like every other portrayal of same-sex love. It's like Dreamy and Nova's love. It's not real true love.
+Powerranger6342 I have to disagree with you there. You saw what Mulan became when she had her heart broken by Aurora. She became a mercenary basically, killing for money. She truly loved Aurora, because she cared about Aurora's happiness more than she cared about her own.
@@Carol-dg7ww When Mulan went to confess and found Aurora, Aurora asked if she wanted to talk to Philip and Mulan said no that she was there to talk to her so yeah Mulan had feeling for Aurora. This also is evident with how protective she was of Aurora, but I thought that was just her caring about a friend or keeping her promise to Philip. It wasn't until the episode where she went to confess I realized she had feelings for her

It is a super popular opinion. My guess is, though, that the Mulan movie was being planned. So no go on the Mulan kissing girls plot. And just in general I have no doubt that Disney would rather just put together 2 public domain characters. And they did (hence the silver slippers)
Would be interesting if they could brought a characters from SW verse to the show since Disney now owns IP rights for it.
For example "live showdown" between Mulan and Snips would be cool to see ^_- (and good test if would be possible to bring Ahsoka from CG series to live action series/movies).
But... on the other hand, SW verse is ruled by little bit different "laws of magic" than other magic verses bound in Disney stories which would made such duel rather "problematic... i think.

A lot of the ouat characters usually have double or more roles in either their own story or in other characters' stories. In this case Red has a double role in her own story as both red riding hood and the wolf.
The wolf "eating" her that we normally know in most of our version of little red was the wolf taking over her human body on nights of the full moon in this version.

What Mulan felt for Aurora and Ruby felt for Dorothy never existed in the first place. True Love is unable to exist between couples of the same gender because their love isn't real. Just like Grumpy and Nova's story, true love between couples of the same gender is really just a dream. It's a fake love that never really existed at all, it was a form of lust disguising itself as love.
