I love NEXON but if I were to choose between NEXON and KAYLAQ I will always go for KYLAQ. a SUB 4 METER car has no use of 360 camera. It was always meant to be a feature for big proper SUVs like Endavour or Fortuner and If top spec of KYLAQ comes in 15lakh its not bad for a VW group car plus I dont think any other brand has that competitive price for its top spec. Even Nexon top model goes beyond 15.5.

I think this is one of the best cars in this segment. The engine is one of the best and is proven features which really matter is offered like electrically adjustable seats and steering with reach function !! Grt going Skoda !!
I hope they don't cut down on features in lower models. This particular model is filled with features and won't cost less than 14 lacs. But once you cross 11-12 lacs then you have got much larger pool of cars to choose from, not necessarily a sub 4 metre SUV.

This has an even bigger boot storage, better headrests, better driving dynamics like skoda and ford gives, and an insane torque for the size of the car. Top-end ka pricing acha hona chaiye. It must be within 13 Lakhs on-road in Bangalore pricing for it to succeed. Plus uska light throw must be good. Vikas bhai, Can you compare this and Kiger Turbo CVT variant pls! 🙏🙏🙏. This is the Creta type of moment for Skoda. Can be a game changer if they slightly improve suspensions and add more soft touch materials and also improve slightly on fuel efficiency.
Skoda has to reduce wheelbase from Kushaq to accommodate in sub 4 meter segment, it changed the game in favour of the kaylaq. Reduced wheelbase increased stiffness of body. With More stiff body kaylaq can go with softer suspension in the city, on highways without body body rolling. Now riding index is best, steering feedback and driving dynamics were already best, moreover 55 kg reduced weight changed Torque/ kerb weight ratio. 1.0 TSI engine seems more peppy in kaylaq then it's siblings. Forget gimmick features and go for experience of cornering on high speed with commanding position of driving dynamics in safest way only for 7.89 lakh.
Lots of cost cutting done... No Fog lamps, 360 cam, No Noise reduction cladding on inside of bonnet. I think the top end should be compitively priced ... maybe around 12 L.

Just as Skoda did with the Kylaq by utilizing part and platform sharing, which resulted in lower production costs and allowed the company to pass on those savings to consumers, ultimately making the Kylaq more affordable while maintaining a competitive edge in the market. This approach is especially relevant for markets like India, where price sensitivity is high and there is a strong demand for budget-friendly cars.
Once upon a time we had affordable safer cars less than 5-6Lkhs for base variant - Fiat Punto, Skoda Fabia, VW Polo, Ford Freestyle, Fiat Linea and more few years back itself with decent safety & 2 airbags in higher varient.. Lower variants had strong build.
This car along with VW's upcoming sub 4 meter SUV will rock the market similarly how Virtus is leading in its segment. So far, Taigun and Kushaq were not value for money when compared to its rival such as Creat, Seltos, Grand Vitara, etc because of the space issue. Also, VW and Skoda is extremely late into entering this segment, they should have entered around 7-8 years before but it is what it is. Also, after this it will be very difficult to sell Kushaq 1 Ltr engine whereas 1.5 is a diff case for diff type of audience but let's see how it goes.

VW's 1.0 litre engine actually in terms of bhp and torque comes at just 35 % of its actual potential. VW used scroll supercharger to extract 272 BHP and 270nm Torque with this same 1.0 engine on thier OEM map pe. More than needed toughness which the germans are known for. It's cylinder block, pistone rod, camshaft are so fking tough that cheap koreans can't even match that. On Stage 1 OEM map pe this 1.0 engine puts out 132 BHP and 240 nm Torque, plus fuel economy does get better too slightly 1-2kmpl. Now imagine the potential of 1.5! VAG is in thier own league all together 💯
Hi, I am planning to buy a sub 4 meter car , is this a better option than nexon, breeza and 3xo. I would keep it for 10 years , my travel is 50 % in city and 50 % in highway mostly long drives 400 to 500 kma in a day. I was opting for nexon or breeza but now kylak is here so pls guide me. do keep in mind servi e cost and spare part cost
I think 3xo is still better than this with more features and premium-ness. Also i hope this does not happen but VW/Skoda can also leave India like ford if they don’t do business well, already VW is suffering globally. Just sharing my opinion.
The automatic gearbox is AQ250 (torque converter) as mentioned towards the end of the video and not DQ250.

VW's 1.0 litre engine actually in terms of bhp and torque comes at just 35 % of its actual potential. VW used scroll supercharger to extract 272 BHP and 270nm Torque with this same 1.0 engine on thier OEM map pe. More than needed toughness which the germans are known for. It's cylinder block, pistone rod, camshaft are so fking tough that cheap koreans can't even match that.
On Stage 1 OEM map pe this 1.0 engine puts out 132 BHP and 240 nm Torque, plus fuel economy does get better too slightly 1-2kmpl.
Now imagine the potential of 1.5! VAG is in thier own league all together 💯

Hi, I am planning to buy a sub 4 meter car , is this a better option than nexon, breeza and 3xo. I would keep it for 10 years , my travel is 50 % in city and 50 % in highway mostly long drives 400 to 500 kma in a day. I was opting for nexon or breeza but now kylak is here so pls guide me. do keep in mind servi e cost and spare part cost

I think 3xo is still better than this with more features and premium-ness. Also i hope this does not happen but VW/Skoda can also leave India like ford if they don’t do business well, already VW is suffering globally. Just sharing my opinion.
