- Опубліковано 21 сер 2017
- This video will show you the easiest way to change the side marker bulb on the Porsche Cayenne 2011 - 2014 958. The bulb size is a 2825; which is the same bulb that you use for the dome lights, foot wells, puddle lights, under the mirror lights, trunk lights, license plate lights, and glove compartment light.
Just did this on my 958. THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO. Got tired of seeing the warning indicator pop up. Purchased a pair of HELLAs 2825 for $2.00 and 10 mins of my time. WOW.
This is one of my few UA-cam comments ever. Just wanted to say thank you for this. Porsche quoted me over $400.00 to replace lenses and wire due to melt issues. Bought the bulb and got the job done for under $5.00. Thank you man
Jacob Kodner thank you, I appreciate the feedback!
You sir are the reason why UA-cam is amazing. Thanks for this post!
To add....I used a playing card (flexible, thin and paper) to push in the fishing line.
I scratched and broke the sidemarker of my 2011 Porsche Cayenne. It will cost a few hundred dollars at least to get it fixed at a bodyshop, not to mention the fact that the shops are busy and short of staff due to Covid-19 related sick leave. With the help from your video, I bought the sidemarker assembly and the bulb online and fixed it myself in a few minutes. It costed me only less than $40 for the parts. Thank you so much!
Thanks I just changed both side marker lights Sylvannia 2825 are the bulbs. Took me 5 minutes!!
Wow thank you for your easy way to open this side dear ❤
Thank you a million times over for posting this video. I cannot believe how much easier this made my life vs messing with all those screws and trying to push from behind
Kyle McCall really glad I was able to help someone out with this video, thanks for the feedback!
Freakin' genius. Now I have to confidence to order a set of clear side markers for my 958. Thanks for this info!
Joe F haha glad I could help!
Thank you. I knew it had to be an easy way to do this
Many thanks for your video, this saved me hundreds of dollars, now I can do it myself.
Thanks man, I really appreciate this video. Makes it so much easier than going through the stupid wheel liner!
Thanks for this. it really is easy!
Dental Floss also works. 👍🏾
this is just frickin awesome!
Great tip, way easier than getting at it from behind, which I gave up on. Bonus tip: if your line snaps when doing this (I only had some 8 pound test), double it up.
Great post! makes it so much easier..Thanks man! I was pushing on it to pop it out but fishing string is much better!
You saved me hundreds. Thanks a million ( if I had it)

You save me $300 for the repair cost! Now I can just order the parts and the light bulbs for $60👍🏻
Btw dental floss can also do the work
Thank you
So I have done this, but because it's a LED, I get a information indicator on my dash everytime I start my vehicle, it says to check side marker light right n check side marker light left, is there anyway to get rid of this? Only option I have found is to put in regular bulbs, not LED, thanks in advance
👍👍👍 thanks
Great video. How did you get the notification not to come up? With LEDs, it registers as a bad bulb on the display. Thanks.
Bruce B not with the side marks, I don’t know why but it doesn’t register it as a burnt bulb. The license plate lights will give you an error that says it’s burned but not the side markers. I bought the bulbs on amazon they’re from auvio and they’re really bright and good quality
I installed the Sylvania super bright LEDs and it gives me the error. I was unable to locate any bulbs by auvio on amazon. Was it the auxito brand? Thank you for your help.
Bruce B yeah my bad, I meant auxito. These are the exact ones I used. I also used these to change out the halogen interior bulbs to LED. And these things are super bright. www.amazon.com/dp/B071LHP5WP?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf
I installed the Sylvania bright LEDs for my cayenne and it gives me the warning error. Bruce B, did you try the auxito, Does it works for you?
Hi jz5188. Sorry for not posting sooner. I did get the ones recommended by bossgjonbalaj and they worked out perfect. The auxito comes in a pack of ten and is cheaper too. I'm all LED now including the license plate. One thing I did notice is that it is "whiter" appearing than the previous bulb. Good luck with your change.
Is this the “static cornering light” ?
krazysj nah that’s the bulb that’s within the headlight housing next to the high beam. That turns on when you turn your steering wheel to a certain direction while your headlights are on. These are the side markers
No, cornering lights are inside the head lamp(s)
whats the bulb number?? im doing mine
N Matthew 2825 is the bulb size
@@bossgjonbalaj oh thanks i thought it was 194
