I had this same lil rig and the Mooer 016 (Engl FB) with a Donner noise killer and TS mini and a EHX Magnum 44 power amp pedal to go to a cab as well and was amazing sounding! Wasn’t more than $400 then like 5 yrs ago and if u want a great sounding cheap preamp pedal u can’t go wrong with either the 005 or 016. Even the built in cab sim sounds good and can pick them up used for about $50. Another awesome cheap preamp pedal is the Joyo Rigel which is their take on a KSR Ceres and actually sounds more like the Vesta and can get them both to sound almost identical to each other.
@@LasseLammert Hey man I just want to thank you for all the time you've taken to upload this absolutely doctorate level study of gain. It's really helped those of us that struggle with GAS and tonechase. I'm almost done with my jouny with a VTM120... but man... you have been tremendously helpful. Thank you.
Heyzoosdefuckingcrisco, maybe it’s just my cans I set to hi-mids, like WTF I call the Yamaha monitors > ‘Heartbreak Boxes’, but this little monster really reminds me of Jesse’s demo of the Marshall KK! 😮🤘👏
Moin und vielen dank. Ja, alles soweit ok, nur Ultra busy mit Studio und Family etc. Habe aber vor irgendwann wieder etwas Zeit für gear comparisons zu finden
I made this kind of board to myself, but i used AMT stuff. P1 for the preamp and Pangaea Cp-16 for the poweramp/cabinet emulation. Sounds great. But i need effects and easy switching. Now i have a two-floor board with G-Major, midi controller and a loop- switcher. Yes, now i switch all the effects combinations and “channels” with a single press, but this thing weights a lot. I thoought about the ways to improve the situation - and its there. Boss ms-3. It is 3 in 1 effects/loop switch/midi controller thing you all know about. But the board gets to the price point of 500€, why not get a Helix or Pod Go then?)))) These are my thoughts. But at least i am happy to have an analog drive section and snart switching with no tap-dancing on my direct setup (and i have an amp-out and a headphone out as well).
Question. I have a OneSpot Pro CS12 power supply. I've left the Radar off my board because OneSpot doesn't have an 18V option. What can I do, other than plugging it into a wall outlet or adding a regular powerstrip to my board just to plug it in? Thanks everyone
Dude!!! This is amaizng!!! I have been searching the Internet for months now trying to find a small set up that would give what I am looking for. I am in two minds of either something like this with the Radar or the Mooer Pre-amp live. The only thing with the live is the tones on offer great, more in the bank, but then I am time heavy with kids and feel I just don’t have the time to play about with the settings of the live version. Would you say this simple set-up ticks all the boxes? I have just got back into playing this Christmas after a long time out as I started singing for bands back in 2000 instead. I purchased a easy option of the Orange 35rt but instantly knew I had done a clanger of a move as the sound is horrible. Just went with it for it’s easy 2 channel footswitch option and headphone out for when the kids are in bed. But loving this sound dude!!! Epic!!!
This was actually my Dream rig, until I did the math and decided it is not worth it, since I'm going to want to put a tuner, drive, noise gate, reverb or delay and of course you would need a pedalboard and a power brick. So would cost as much as a POD Go or an equivalent in this range.
your own IR, or one of the preloaded ones,? also, are you using the poweramp emulation on the Radar? sounds sick as always. you think the Loader hardware makes a big difference? like is the same IR better sounding on a torpedo CAB than on a Radar, or is it the same?
@@LasseLammert thanks mate. it's a cool little piece of gear, and i think it's such a neat solution for playing live and giving the sound guy something better and more consistent than the sm57 dangling from the top of the cab pointing at the floor i usually see at small venues lol...
this is an off topic from the video but killer tone btw. is your usb port a 2.0 or 3.0? because ive read that the radar can only function on a 2.0 usb port
Solid sound. Any noticeable latency when going through two AD/Da stages? I know it probably won't matter in a live setting, but tracking with noticable latency (which might not even be constant) can be such a mess.
This is one of the best metal riff ever made
Still holds up indeed

This is ridiculous. You are the tone king on youtube.

Please make a studio tour!!!.... I've seen a lot of cool stuff on your videos and I think would be great to see them in more detail :D
Sounds great. I have the radar on order because wasn't impressed with the 005's cab sim.
That was pretty damn impressive!
Not heard that Lasse Andy Sneap forum song in a while hehe
Hey Lasse. How's it going? Any new content? What are you up to these days?
It's been a year, where did you go bro? Lol. Love your videos 🤘🏽
Hey dude , I saw that you produced Inner Sanctum's Divided By Hate. Fantastic job dude , that mix is amazing. Cheers!
Thank you! 🖤
Überraschend gut

Exactly my setup (plus SD-1 and NS-1)
Lange kein neues Video mehr gekommen. Hoffe bei dir ist alles OK!

Wow! Very good tone. And it is all digital.
Wow
Good for what it is 🤘
Sounds real. It fooled me :p
How!? That sounds awesome!

It works just fine when powered with a 9v power supply, not sure why it's rated 18v

HOLY MOTHER OF... FATHERS
Βest metal demo record ever-killer riffs bro..
Thanks
what about the cab sim of the micro preamp?????? can you do the same without the radar?

Did this legendary multitrack gain a new drumtrack? :)
Yes, mike Heller supplied me with live drums :)
Hey!
Awesome tone!
Just got mine 005 + radar today and I am so excited!
Is there a way to get tab for this guitar track?

Yeah, I used the power amp sim for this (but my own IR...the stock IRs are actually really good tjough)

is your usb port a 2.0 or 3.0? because ive read that the radar can only function on a 2.0 usb port
99.9 of usb 3.0 (or higher) ports are backwards compatible so no need to worry.
Hey man, still around?
Yo
Solid sound.
Any noticeable latency when going through two AD/Da stages?
I know it probably won't matter in a live setting, but tracking with noticable latency (which might not even be constant) can be such a mess.
Thanks.
I didn’t notice anything
Do COF still use Mooer in their live set up? Obviously not right now though
Not sure actually.
A lot of details about COF live mooer setup here instagram.com/p/BrA_lvCg-7f/
What ir are you using on the mooer radar? Any recommendations for 8 strings setup?
always the same song but you never play it live?
Get a di box and BOOM instant live rig
As always, it sounds wicked!!! What IR are you using?
Thank you.
