Xplicit Soles I’m looking for the video they uploaded of a skater in a warehouse going over couches n shit. I think it was in black & white. Know which one I’m talking about?
@@imdatnigga9715 If it’s got Austyn Gillette you’re thinking of “outhouse warehouse and flophouse” or “austyn Gillette William strobeck” look up either of those, hope that helps
This part makes me yearn for younger days when my friends and I would take trips all over L.A. and different areas in Southern California with little other cares or obligations. Just pushing each other to progress and conquer fears, sightseeing and enjoying each other’s company. Of course, life goes on and people grow apart and lose interests in the things they were once so passionate about, but those are some of my favorite memories that I’ll cherish for a very long time. Although I don’t really skate anymore and neither does anybody I know, sometimes I’ll stick pick up the board or watch a few skate videos. This video makes me nostalgic, happy and just emotional overall. Although it was a relatively short amount of time in my life I spent skateboarding, my life would never be the same without those experiences. This video personally embodies what skateboarding was and is to me. Thanks to Austyn and everyone who took part in creating this video, well done.
I don't think this video will ever get old or dated. Pushing a board around a city, flying down the sidewalk, weaving through people, jumping over curbs: all skaters can relate to that, even if we can't do switch backside flips on banks. There's something special about being part of a living, breathing city, and this video shows how skating is as much a part of it as anything else - the people walking or pushing strollers or playing ball - shown here.
2021, & i still love the concept to this video. Collin Kennedy has always had such a pure approach towards skateboarding. While Austyn has had the most style on the board.
You know, I watch this almost every year. Because it captured what skating felt like to me more than anything else. I miss skating so much. It's been like 7 years since I skated often. Started working hard, had all my skater buddies get into drugs, or move away. I still look at my board every time I leave for work. Beautiful stuff.
He is such an amazing street skateboarder pushing speed amazing and his tricks so cool and at that speed perfect....one day i would like to street skate just like him one of my new favourite skateboarders!!!! I am practicing to get my pushing speed faster also trying to get my ollies down....
This is my favourite skating video on the internet, I keep coming back and watching it. It's so beautifully shot and the music is perfect. For some reason it reminds me of a John Hughes film... if John Hughes directed skate videos. Well done.
I was in high school when this video was released, and man it’s still amazing years later! I always try come back to this video, I know I’m not the only one!
Most motivating video out there. Just pushing to the spot instead of using public transport is so much more fun with this in mind. Every sidewalk becomes a skatepark and every bump a new spot. That's what skateboarding should be about. Push. Go fast. And have fun while doing so.
Just like when you’re a passenger in a car and you’re picturing all the tricks you’d do down the street. Maybe even using your fingers to visualise and feel it. Super organic. Much love
This video has the vibes of a montage at the end of a documentary/coming-of-age film showing the happy ending and the grown up main character pursuing their passion
Definitely!!! I was present when this came out and was blown away RIP DYLAN of course he already knew him at this point they grew up in the DNA days when they were little years after this quik vid he and him got on HUF and at that time they both were the The most stylish skateboarders in the game! RIP Heath HUFnagel knew this at the time as well!
i ready your comment, and dont understand what you mean with "before"....so i look to the post date of the video and HOLY SHIT...2012? really ? now i am like...."cant believe i havent seen dat shit before"
Those must be some well maintained sidewalks and streets. It's crazy how he can skate that fast without busting his ass on an uneven sidewalk or something.
Breaking Cycles riding new wheels negates some shitty streets. But for the most part cali has uses different asphalt and concrete formula I think. If you've ever skated LA, then go to the east coast and ride some streets there you'll notice it rides different. East coast concrete is shit for the most part, even the new stuff.
I live in LA. It's pretty wonderful. It's a place to grow up. It's like any other city, a hodge pot of culture. It is a place to see life at its purest. It also has some awesome skate spots. In my opinion, unfortunately, it is not a place one will like to live in.
this is whats skateboards really about, just pushing and cruising around the streets, pulling some cool tricks efortless, just chillin. feeling great
fuckin word
Best post on youtube
It's my go to vid when I'm drunk and reminisce about what skating means
Alive in 2021. This video is almost 8 years and still better than a bunch of videos from last years.

The first trick he does sets the tone for the rest of the video
The trick of this video is the B/S Flip at the begin. TOP!!!!!!!
can we get a quik 2?

this man has style, you cant teach that
He looks so comfortable skating so fast... I always wonder how he manages to slow down afterwards but the camera always cuts it..:(
I'm sure he slows down with power slides. It's what most skaters do at-least.
