The judges decision to place him 4th seems to be so unpopular and controversial, the publicity might just help him in his future career. I certainly hope so!
True expression and eloquence. Playing that actually says something. None of the well learned violin mannerisms and safe playing of the other competitors. Kevin's physical balance with the instrument is in itself a masterclass.
Bravo, Kevin Zhu! Your artistry, ability, and devotion to the music are apparent in every note you played during this competition. The judges should feel absolutely ashamed for the part they played in eroding the integrity of the Queen Elisabeth Competition. I wish you a successful and much-deserved concertizing career.
4th prize is way too low. Injustice.
OMG!!! Bravoooo👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Kevin, you are the Winner in my heart ❤️
Definitely the best Shostakovich of the competition!
I Hope listen the Ligeti violin concerto next competiton, Shostakocich Is my favorite concerto , but Ligeti 😮😮🎉
winner.
Bravo. Perfect performance.
So deep 🔥🔥🔥👏👏👏🥇🥇🥇
Real winner. Much better than dima.
True winner!!!
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
first competition I ever heard where intonation, expression, tone, and depth were overlooked. jury was definitely imitating Joe Biden's mental acuity
I wonder if the jury only started listening on the last day of performances
@@mkuo22 I bet the scoresheets got mixed up before the announcement. Someone probably realized it and it was too late to turn around
I think you have to be there to understand
@@talesfromthequick2015 they called out the wrong first place winner and redid it lol
I wonder if they’ll make the scores public. Maybe it was down to .02 or something for all the finalists, kinda like how elli was .09 below Joshua in the china comp…one judge putting him at 95 and her at 94 is what makes or break an entire prize
Paganini, but with more empathy, brains and modesty !
With great and inspiring future...
