2 I want to add a stand alone 12v system to run automotive parts off the shelf . lights lots of lights inner & outer, with what I call god light to deal with drivers who neglect to drop their high beamsin a timely manner, air horn for road use, heating & cooling systems. This is great and also you are empowering others to learn,every man can do the same, this is what i like about vehicles and electronics, i've learned to repair pc's on my own, as well for building e-bikes, and 3 days ago i have my first mobility scooter. It's a 3 wheeler, worked fine, had no batteries. I tested a 24volt battery and it worked great, but the battery was weak, im going to need a other controller and do some more mods. I actually wanna see if i can make a AWD mobility scooter with brakes on it to perform stunts with, and also use it after my knee surgery.
That sounds cool. The best way of learning is to use your hands and just get on with it. The battery is usually the worst bit as it is the most expensive
@@Ridingreviews True, but i happen to have a neighbour who's a expert in this, i haven't built a battery pack, and as first i'm going to run a 1000w 36v controller as i have a lot of 36v packs and after that i'll see what i will do more, first its understanding how it all works and upgrade from there. it's a important masculine quality to learn about these things and to work with it, just like any skill we want to learn, this is really important in these days as the decline in handy men is huge.

sorry i don't have a wiring diagram as a lot of these controllers are different if you want to add more battery's in series for mor speed you will need a different controller
Experience 100% I can do so much more than most of the people I know who have qualifications including mechanics I have helped with motorcycles who lack quality and development nowadays due to our poor system missing out on potential geniuses. My story was I was misdiagnosed and had ADHD and autism so I missed out on achieving good grades in school now I’m just another person in the shadows doing things like this without recognition. I believe we are all born to do a job but we live in a world where you pick the job from a list and do it regardless of your ability because on paper your “qualified” motivated by the education system to achieve a well paid job and not because you are a skilled craftsmen like it was back in the day

Hello. I am looking for a more powerful motor for my old GoGo scooter that will bolt on to the original transaxle. I upgraded the batteries, adding two 12-volt 12-amp batteries in parallel with the original two, this yielded a lot of added torque, but very little speed gain. I am getting two 17mm hub adapters so i can install larger wheels for added speed. But upgrading the motor will likely give me a lot more speed gain. I can handle the electronic changes for a higher amperage motor, brush o brushless, but i haven't found a motor that will replace mine without going to a clutch and chain axle or replacing the whole transaxle. can you help? Thanks.
Im pretty sure you wont find a bigger motor that will bolt straight in as the motor would have been developed for that scooter i imagine the motor will have a restrictor on it someware as all of them have one someware bigger wheels will make it faster but you will lose talque
3 When this idea first came to I was watch video on trailor build ideas & methods And it came to me as an ex long haul commercial driver who learned to live out of a trucks sleeper. That by using this cart in cart design it could be possible ( even if very micro ) to by properly designing & building these carts I could potentially provide sleeping space for 1 person. I see this being possible by cutting & re configuring what will be the rear of the 1rst carts foot or narrow end to also have a working tail gate design hinging from top & or bottom I could leave the cart just barely inter lockef to form the baskets into a sleep area. Thus what I've named a hobo RV was born. ( possible very transient homeless shelter that could be used for instant bedroom at night with under shelf storage or other use able space.
Hi I got mine built using 14 front tooth rear 46 200w motor 60v battery. The thing is not as fast as I thought it would be it won't pull me up a slight gradient. On the flat it's OK but still not fast. Sprockets and chain are 428 pitch. Could this be the problem wrong gearing.

hello not stock the motor will handle the extra power but the controller prob wont and most controllers are limited so it wont make a difference on speed and prob damage your scooter also if it did work you would probably get a bit more range

So, I bought a speed controller of 36v 1000W but I’ll exchange for a 48v 1000W. I have a question. If I connect the third battery to total Volts of 36v and I connect this controller that I have at the moment, it going to be a bit faster or not? You are the expert so if you tell me yes would works. so I'm back again to re watch this video for I think my 3rd go. Anyway since My last message I have been blessed to have bought a $5,000.00 Afikim C4 for only $100.00 great x mass I also added a micro 3 wheeler so I now find myself in possession of 3 scootz. with a grand total out of pocket to buy all $460.00 so yes I must have been a right good bobby last year. As I may or may not have mentioned in my last post. these will soon become my only independent form of transit. So I've been working to build a add on rear box so I can still get all the way across town & back & at a safe speed so as to not be run over in traffic . So as you offered to give help, what I want to do is add a set of full sized grocery cart to the rear of my scooter The C4 by turning them back to the back of the scoot using the rear hitch as my attachments point. So I need the following . 1 I want to add several extra sets of batteries onto the lower shelf of the 2nd cart which encloses the 1rst cart when on road. this is needed so that when I get to stores I can remove the 2nd or outer cart & park it at the service desk while I shop with the 1rst or inner cart that is open topped for easy of loading & removed any worries on the merchants part that I might try to steal with the closed 2nd outer box. The outer box will have bicycle wheels & tires to carry most if not all of the added weights.
that sounds fine to me making the scooter go for a longer distance isn't a problem you just need to add more battery's in parallel no real modification needed but for more speed you will need more battery's in series and the stock controller wont be able to handle it

It should work with 36v you just wont get alot of speed it isnt ideal but you can add a lead acid battery with the same ampage and voltage as the others just be carefull of inballanced charging
So mobility scooters are just set at factory and you can make it go faster. But I’d just say buy a better one and it is a less risk for messing something up. My grandad wants a faster one. I’d want to make his faster but I wouldn’t wanna mess it up
i agree in the uk the mobility scooters are limited to 4mph path 8mph road without doing some heavy modification it isn't possible to make them go faster

so this one has 1 lead acid and 3 lithium ion battery's on it so yes you can use lithium but don't let them go to 0 % or they will die try and add a low voltage cut off switch thanks for watching
@Riding reviews the mower has a 12volt led acid battery and a alternator that discharges 14 volts. The mower runs on gas for the blades and electric to make it mobile.

They are restricted by the controller. You can get a bigger controller. Some have a wire on them, and you disconnect to remove the restriction

this one has a 4 mph and a 8mph setting if you want to go faster than that you would need to change the controller as that is the limiting factor

there are some nice bike trailers out there that are designed by youtubers to sleep in with solar panels really small but do the job

I think you have over geared it maybe try first changing the front sprocket for a 12 tooth that will be the cheapest solution

As an electrical engineer I wouldn't advise double in the voltage of any motor

@@modchop3537 if it is a lithium controller it should cut of at 44v with a max charge of 52v
It's a vevor 48v 1800w brushless dc controller, no mention of lothium on it. I cant add a picture to my comments for some reason

So mobility scooters are just set at factory and you can make it go faster.
But I’d just say buy a better one and it is a less risk for messing something up.
My grandad wants a faster one. I’d want to make his faster but I wouldn’t wanna mess it up
i agree in the uk the mobility scooters are limited to 4mph path 8mph road without doing some heavy modification it isn't possible to make them go faster

Can I add lithium ion batteries to the motor on my mobility scooter was running on two 12v 15amp lead acid before can motor take it or do I need to replace it also thanks for Great video and the inspiration to do something I been thinking of for ages 👍 superb mate ☮💯👊👍🏴❤🤍💙
so this one has 1 lead acid and 3 lithium ion battery's on it so yes you can use lithium but don't let them go to 0 % or they will die try and add a low voltage cut off switch thanks for watching

@Riding reviews the mower has a 12volt led acid battery and a alternator that discharges 14 volts. The mower runs on gas for the blades and electric to make it mobile.
