How can I take my measurements with a standard fabric tape measure

You take your band size in inches. Write it down and keep it. Then you take your bust size in inches. Subtract the band size from the bust size (e.g. bust-band=). Whatever that number is, you count up the letters from there. 0=AA, 1=A, 2=B, 3=C, 4=D, 5=either DD or E, and so on. Then you take your original band size again and put the number and the letter together (e.g. 34D). Note that this is for American and UK sizing only, because it’s not done in inches elsewhere.
