I saw a comparison last night , pixel vs 20 pro , for my money the mate looked slightly better in most shots . having said that , i would buy the note 9 , but i would have the mate 20 pro as a second phone .
Indeed, pixel nightsight is a noisy mess, also in huawei you can edit your Nightmode settings like shutter speed and ISO , and in pro mode you can blast the ISO to the extreme, and get photos on dimmer environment, that just blows the pixel away.

My pixel 2 XL is being sent back to Google under warranty. Heavy screen burn in, constant crashing apps. I've swapped to the mate 20 pro and the "bugs" are far fewer than on my pixel to be honest. I've had stock android devises for the last 4 years (nexus and pixel) I'm so glad I made the swap.
In my opinion, Mate 20X is better than Mate 20 Pro. It doesn't have the flashy features like infared face scanner and in-display fingerprint scanner but it has a headphone jack, way bigger battery (5000 mAh), smaller notch that doesn't look that intrusive and the rest of internals are pretty much the same.
bigger phone lower resolution = more pixels shown , not a good look needs big pockets , not water resistant , no wireless charging , sorry but the pro just has so much more for just 100 euros more.
I just bought this , was shipped from China to US thru Ali-express... It is region locked to China so while it does have Google play store "installed" but some of the original apps won't let me in says "switch region" what am I missing ?

The only thing, that pixel 3 nightsight is pulling is ' noise wizardy', also lack of focus, if i wanted a noisy night photo(still less noisy thanks to pixel binning) i can bump up the ISO to the absolute extreme on mate 20 pro (51,200 - 102,400) that just blows the Pixel 3 Nightsight.

I'm using gesture controls and it works fine. Fingerprint reader is very quick and reliable. The low noise night pictures on here is just wizardry, amazing. Overall it feels pretty polished to me. Once you get used to the battery life and super charging, you can't go back.
@Jacksnake D. they already did. So far only Huawei Finland will replace affected units, but...it's not clear if Huawei used LG poled...on some or all units. Noone can solve hardware issues.
@@gogigp You can get replacement in china too. They don't even go through any test, as long as you feel there is a screen issue, you can get a replacement. Also you will get a p20pro as a back up phone while you are waiting for replacment unit.

i do not like the pixel 3 ui, boring my s9 plus is smooth and options i like. i was wanting a pixel this year but after playing with it no thanks. i hope Samsung does not strip to much out when pie comes out. i am hoping if it is a little lighter updates will be quicker as there will not be as much for them to play around with

Samsung version isn't as secure and doesn't work in the dark. The Huawei versions emulates the iPhone version with infra red dot projectors that work in the dark etc... I have this phone and with the notch hidden it looks identical to an S9 plus
Double camera, 3,4 camera lenses are just trends like curved TVs will be gone just like dust. I am using X and hardly used camera. So good single lens camera with better software is more than enough
The mate 20 pro is a great phone on paper but youtube tech reviewers switch phones every 6 months, so I would take their opinions with a grain of salt . The mate 20 is good for now but if you re planning on keeping a phone for 2 years just like the rest. This phone is a pass all the way.

Also many people prefer IOS, Stock Android, Oxygen OS and Samsung UI because they're all better experiences. Stock Android IOS are clean UI's, Samsung UI has many features built into it and Oxygen OS is close to Stock Android, but it has so much to customize
Ive had mine for just over a week, the facial recognition is rubbish works 2 out of 5 times if your lucky, and finger print recognition is no better, its already had 2 updates to free up the memory, and just doesnt seem very smooth. Personally not the best phone ive ever had considering its supposed to be a flag ship model.

Agree with this review. I sent my Mate 20 back, the issues with bugs and software were too much, it really spoiled my experience.
For good software experience nothing is better than Pixel, you don't know much about phones do you..?
