Hallo Sebastian, sehr interessantes Video!
Hi Sebastian, I have a questions about new satellite wifi antenna on aircraft, it has LNB, BUC... and some other circuity. How does this antenna works ? I heard you can streamline video, play online games, surf net... I just wonder how it works, nice if you have a video about this. Thanks.
Thanks for the video, Sebastian! Are you going to record more on this one? I have a dream of building a K-band transverter for an 802.11 network link. However, my microwave experience is not strong, and I have next to no test equipment. It will be a hard road of learning, but that's the point of the exercise.
Great video Sebastian. How is the 10Mhz reference used. Is this used to drive a PLL which is then mixed with the L-band signal to produce K band signals?
Hi Sebastian, how do i check my local carrier or what´s the calculation mode to get the right KU band Frequency to use in the spectrum analyser and see the carrier from it ?
I know it's been a long time since this upload but I'd still be interested in a teardown. I'm also curious if you ever managed to push this into a band that is accessible to hams
@@BalticLab I will probably do the same. Ebay seems to be the only reliable source as i have checked so far. By the way, you can also remote control commercial satellite propulsions with emergency codes which is very interesting. Because the irregular propulsion helps to maintain the satellite's velocity to keep up with the earth's rotation speed and stable orbit. Of course satellite works as a reflector but it has to stay in the orbit until its fuel is over.
Greetings Sebastian ! Always appreciate RF videos!

perfect reference to understand how get mine to work !
Thanks for the video :)
What LO does the BUC adds in the KU and C band signlas??
Presumably, the L-Band IF has to track the doppler shift to the satellite. Is that right?
+hpux735 These are geostationary satellites. No doppler involved.
+KF5OBS Oh, duh. Of course! I'm so used to those little, fast, LEO satellites.
thank you so much
Where did you buy it?
I bought it from eBay a long time ago.
