I finished my second time watching Jang Ok Jung yesterday (2018) and I still cried. I was deeply moved by the story line and how Yoo Ah In and Ta Hee acted. Jang Ok Jung is definitely beautiful. The love between Jang and King of Joseon definitely the strongest one. Sobssss. Huaaaaaaaaaaa. I cannot move on.
elmyrul 92 I can't repeat the drama. Infact if I knew it would be like this. I wouldn't have watched it at all. The king lost his sense of ruling because of jang ok jung. Yet rules were strong on other wives he had just because he didn't love them the way he did with Jang ok jung.I admire their romance but the king wasn't one to love jang with the political atmosphere.

After i watch this drama, the King really love jang ok jung and tried so much not to let go of her hand despite the people which is against their relationship, and because jang ok jung love the king and wants to protect his majesty's status and her son with the political chaos and might dethroned the king leads Her to sacrifice herself although its even harder for the kings side.. This is truly a great story of love that even against all odds the foundation they made was really strong and didnt crumble even with so much hardship..this made me cry so much #true Love Conquers all

The history is always written by the successors and it was the western party (InhyunWanghoo)'s family who continued to have control of the Royal government. Current history records have Inhyunwanghoo and Western party as the innocent but many Koreans have their doubts.

I love watching Korean historical drama and this Jang Ok Jung is the saddest and horrible drama I've ever watched. This must be a great story till the end but the Writer made it horrible. The King Lee Soon is good and wise when he decided Jang Ok Jung he's beloved wife to be with someone just to escape her death. But in the end Jang Ok Jung decided to be back in the Palace and put her life to death just to save the King and her son the crowned prince. OMG! This Korean historical drama must be at least good in the end especially Kim Tae Hee is the leading actress. I've seen a lot of historical drama like The Moon Embracing the Sun, Love in the Moonlight, Flower in Prison, The Grand Prince, Flower Crew, Joseon Dating Agency, Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung and Queen Love and War. All of these dramas have love, hatred, war and jealousy but in the end it ended nicely with their love ones. I'm just hoping that all writers of Korean historical drama must feel the likes of the viewers and they must know in the end that Love will prevails.

Finished this drama like months ago and still obsessed with that i still watch clips of it like everyday cuz its that good and makes me wanna re watch it plus im waiting for all the episode for the new drama heirs to come out OMG LEE MIN HO AHHHHHHH anyways im waiting for it so mind as well watch jang ok jung again, i mean it is the best drama i've watch in quite a while and i love boys before flowers ^^

In reality this could have been an alternative as many historians have doubts about what really went on. The western party in reality had great power during Jang's prime and after her death. The history is always written by the successors and it was the western party (InhyunWanghoo)'s family who continued to have control of the Royal government. Current history records have Inhyunwanghoo and Western party as the innocent but many Koreans have their doubts.
Although the ending was too sad but at least they were able to love each other till the very end

Sukjong is not the best king tho... Go watch Six Flying Dragons and Tree with Deep Roots.. Taejong and his son, Sejeong definitely one of the best king (of course with their contributions)

I love watching Korean historical drama and this Jang Ok Jung is the saddest and horrible drama I've ever watched. This must be a great story till the end but the Writer made it horrible. The King Lee Soon is good and wise when he decided Jang Ok Jung he's beloved wife to be with someone just to escape her death. But in the end Jang Ok Jung decided to be back in the Palace and put her life to death just to save the King and her son the crowned prince. OMG! This Korean historical drama must be at least good in the end especially Kim Tae Hee is the leading actress. I've seen a lot of historical drama like The Moon Embracing the Sun, Love in the Moonlight, Flower in Prison, The Grand Prince, Flower Crew, Joseon Dating Agency, Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung and Queen Love and War. All of these dramas have love, hatred, war and jealousy but in the end it ended nicely with their love ones.
I'm just hoping that all writers of Korean historical drama must feel the likes of the viewers and they must know in the end that Love will prevails.
There's another one very sad ending Queen Shondeok,and Jamyung Go/Princess Jamyung.Love watching historical drama think I watched most of them already.

But of course, the King didn’t agree and planned instead an escape mission for her. She was able to escape but came back just in time to accept her punishment. The King was so upset that he did not want to see her off at first but decided last minute to see her before her death. He managed to witness her last few moments. She died in his arms.
