Danny Danon is talking as if there is such a thing as people who do not condemn terror. Every one condemn terror from those you call terrorists but most call resistance. Every one condemns terror, organization or state sponsored. Terror is to be condemned whether it comes from Hamas or from Israel. Every one condemns rape, torture and kidnappings, especially those that have alleged to have happened on Oct 7th. But now it has come to a point if you do say that you condemn so and so at the start every single sentence that somehow you are a terrorist or anti Israel or a antisemite ? It has become more of a political game of accusing someone who has the slightest deviation from the Israeli narrative of not condemning terror just like the use and abuse of the holocaust memory by some in order to paint Israel as a forever victim when there are group of people today who are far more hated and persecuted then the Jewish people currently are. There is nothing wrong in saying that anti semitism is sometimes blown out of proportion and used for political purposes. Jewish people are safer then they have ever been today, with a country of their own and a democratic one at that. The only democratic country in the region. It is prosperous, has a formidable military that surpasses most other military in the world and has long ago achieved the capability to produce its own nuclear weapons. The state of Israel is in no danger of disappearing, no country around it or group pose a existential threat to Israel, no country would dare attack Israel in a invasion in a bid to destroy it because the leaders of neighboring countries know very well that Israel would be more then justified in using its nuclear weapons in the event of a invasion making such move futile and suicidal. With that said, it doesn't mean Israel is as safe as it could be and that is due to the on going occupation of a territory that is internationally recognized as being Palestinian but which Israel calls ''disputed territories'' in a bid to confuse people as to whom it really belongs to. Perhaps by law, it isn't entirely 100% clear to whom it belongs, be we do know that it was earmarked as being territory for a future Palestinian state which the Palestinians mistakenly refused when they attacked Israel first when Israel was created. But today, if given the opportunity to self govern the entire West Bank and Gaza, Hamas or the Palestinian authority, both of them co ruling or merging into one party, I am sure would be more then happy to make do with only the West bank and the strip ad would renounce any rhetoric of wanting to take Israel proper as a whole as well. With the shear misery oppression and subjugation they have lived for the past 75 years, the peace and freedom of no longer having to live with frequent raids which destroys everything in their path, not having to live with IDF soldiers coming in the middle of the night in your own house to setup sniper firing position in the West Bank, not having to deal with check points after check point when they can clearly see the Jewish settlers freely moving about where ever they want to as they please, there is every indication today that Palestinians would renounce all claims they might have to Israel proper and total cessation of hostilities and resistance in exchange for the total withdrawal of Israel from both West Bank and Gaza. The only problem here is that Israel insist on keeping land that it doesn't need. Sometimes they will tell you they need to keep the West Bank for security purposes even though we all know that it is the occupation which is causing the insecurity which will persist until the occupation stops, sometimes they will say that the West Bank is disputed territory even thought Israel never tries or ever made any efforts in international courts to resolve to whom it really belongs to neither has it ever formally annexed the territory and at other times they will tell you they have the right to take the land because it says in a religious book that it was the land of their people 2000 years ago which is the most dubious claim to territory one could ever come up with. If Israel really cares about the Palestinians, how does it explains the fact that settlers have these clean and neat looking asphalt roads that the state of Israel builds for them while it barely if at all builds any roads for the Palestinian communities and cities even tho it should be legally obliged to do so as Israel is the occupier thus has a responsibility of treating people under its occupation and administration the same as they do with their own citizens and equally invest in the infrastructure but instead all Israel does is destroy and take from Palestinians and deep down inside most Israelis have to know that this is unsustainable and cannot go on indefinitely ! Palestinians are not guest or refugees after all, they ere there first in far greater numbers when the state of Israel was created, on land that has been theirs for generations already.
