    📜 Video Description 📜
    I play in very tough short handed game in this video and am constantly battling against strong poker players. In short handed no limit holdem, you have to be willing to fight for pots and mix it up. We also learn a lot about key preflop holdem spots and learn how to avoid preflop poker mistakes.

    I think optimal content for me is a live session like this where you give you thoughts and briefly pause but maybe in the middle on the end of the video go into a deep pio analysis of the most interesting hand(s) of the session. Kinda like Weasel but without the constant whining!

    out of all formats, i really like this one the most: more uncut "live" poker with your thoughts in it and some explanations in between...i find it's better to watch than reviews for example. Keep up the good videos, glgl

    Another great video. I enjoy this format along with the more detailed ones with fewer hands reviewed. Nice to have a mix.

    Great video Pete, really good content! Question slightly unrelated to the video itself, would you recommend someone to go through your Carrot Poker School course before or after cash injection - i might be misunderstanding but i've got the impression that CPS gives a great level of theory and understanding of the game in general whereas cash injection, whilst still giving a good understanding - gives some quick implementable strategies to be used against the population? If someone was purchasing both, in what order would you work through?

    • @CarrotCornerPoker
      @CarrotCornerPoker  Рік тому

      I think you can slot Cash Injection in at any point but probably between grade 1 and 2 makes the most sense as you’re more likely to understand it fully by then but you also don’t want to wait too long before adding pool exploits to your game. In other words you want an EV boost from exploits as soon as you have the theoretical ability to understand it.

    Thanks! For me 1-table is best for Zoom videos, allows to discuss the spots a bit in detail. Your courses are too expensive (compared to what I want to invest in the game). Is there a way to ship you some money as a "donation" for all the free stuff you post?

    What is that fold with 87s BNvBB 3bet in the first hand? I dont know where your charts are from but this seems way off, at least for 200 NL rake. I mean at 25NL rake and considering that its close to a 5x 3bet (with player pool 3betting quite tight), maybe you can let it go.
    As a comparison: My preflop Sims for 500NL rake call down to 96s (however vs. 11BB and not 12BB 3bet)
    Then you flat a (to be fair smallish) UTG 4bet with T9s which would seem like a totally reasonable fold to me. From way too tight to quite ambitious BN play in just a few minutes. Im confused

    Hi, At 2.27 you looked at BBs 3b range, If this is GTOW then I suspect that many of those infrequent 3b combos are mostly due to solver inaccuracy (I believe GTOW only solves down to 1% which isn't particularly accurate at all) and when you run in something like monkey solver to great accuracy you can watch these combos slowly disappear. What do you think?

    • @CarrotCornerPoker
      @CarrotCornerPoker  Рік тому +1

      This is simple preflop and we’ve solved to a very high accuracy. Perhaps the more important point is that whether they disappear or not at higher accuracies their inclusion can’t be too bad.

    27:38 are we allowed to fold here? my instinct is to fold vs. nit fish/nit regs who dont reraise enough with non value hands

    I want to know about the light 😂 been considering one, worth it Pete? Also would you be interested in making some high stakes content on GG or something? I think it'd make interesting content, draw more viewers and probably push sell through on your courses.

    In all fairness Pete, shoving before the river at low SPRs is supposed to be a merged range, from the books I've read or things I've witnessed at least. You see MTT players do this all the time I think

    Ever think of a video about that? “Non normal sizings in small stakes live” Maybe how to deal with live sizings and how “in theory” we should be responding. Im almost at 350 hrs live since april. I personally use a 4x open and a 5x open at 1/3 500 max bu-in so usually always 200+ bb deep allssooo i have a 10% rake so i know my game is kind of unique if youre intrested theres a huge untapped market where i am honestly because casinos and poker is “kind of new” let me know if your interested in networking

    Thanks for the content,. Do you also play on GG. There are more than enough players at the 200nl zoom (run & cash)? 500nl does not exist there. This kind of content is ok. But I prefer videos with a real topic to focus on like some of the Losing to cruising videos.

    I wouldn't recommend going through sims during a hand while in live or recording. Some sites interpret that as basically using RTA.

    Burn that defend range vs BB 3bet and bleach your eye holes. Thats like 13% Of hands calling. Monker solver is defending 47% of range through call. You're welcome. Sincerely yours: some random guy on the internet.

    Obviously it's your channel you can do what you want but more tables more action less analysis. Seen enough of you overanalysing very specific hands would be better to just watch couple hundred hands multi tabling 100nl or whatever
