    It feels like every time Trav gets new pads he adds a half-inch or an inch. In a couple seasons those pads are gonna be up to his nipples. 😂

    • @place_desjardins
      @place_desjardins 10 місяців тому

      He actually went to shorter pads before his hip surgery. It was odd considering his height, but I think his hip impingement was not working with taller pads.

    Your pads don’t suit your style of play and your butterfly. I know you like the flat look but it doesn’t fit in your game.

      I had the same comment typed in, throw a set of v10 on him and he'd be a completely different goalie.

      @@jasonhill6074if he had a wide butterfly the flat pads would make sense. Right now there is such a gap between the pads in his butterfly that’s exactly where I would keep shooting if I was a player.

    • @place_desjardins
      @place_desjardins 10 місяців тому

      @@ryana3679 His pads are fine, it's his form. His butterfly save is so narrow, he needs to work on getting it wider. He could be in Vaughn, Bauer, True,, CCM, or Brian's pads; it wouldn't make a difference.

    • @ryana3679

      @@place_desjardins I’m not saying the pads are the problem. I’m saying with his style and flexibility in his butterfly going with straight pads leaves him more exposed than with a knee break. With his hips he’ll never spread his butterfly enough to get the advantage of his flat pads. It also looks weird to me personally. He’s not Antti Niemi or anyone like that.

    You need Vaughn pads, stop using crap that doesn’t work for you, or with you, your 5 hole is enormous with those things. Grab some vaughns like one of your old coaches said and everyone else.

    • @place_desjardins
      @place_desjardins 10 місяців тому +1

      Manufacturer or model wouldn't matter. He needs to work on his flexibility, get his butterfly wider, close up the five hole. It was always getting worse and narrower with his hip impingement. Now, it's like muscle memory for him to go to a narrow butterfly.

    • @mihaU1
      @mihaU1 9 місяців тому +1

      @@place_desjardins at his age he won't make it wider. There are some genetic limitations that should be taken into account. And he already had the hip surgery. I'm working on my flexbility for over 2 years and progress is close to nil. Some people are just not meant to have a wider butterfly. EOT.

    I moved from my Bauer to Warrior as I couldn't get a good feel in the leg channel. The G6 glove and blocker are excellent, the pads have been a different story the inner raised pads take some getting used by this I mean when I stand up the pads are pushing against my leg, I've had to relearn the standing sensation. The slide plates are still a working in progress. To put this into context I've used them for 16 games. Overall I'm happy with Warrior I may change to the G7 pads as I did like the calf pillow in the Bauer.

      EFlex may not be a true hybrid pad, but out of the modern pads, they and the Vaughn Velocity lines are the most similar in play style to hybrid pads.
