"So you're telling me there's a chance" My favorite dumb comedy is either Dumb & Dumber or Billy Madison. I've lost count the amount of times I've quoted "Peeing your pants is the coolest" while potty training my kids.
My brother, sister, and I LOVE Dumb and Dumber. One part we would say to each other is “PICK EM UP!” in Lloyd’s deep dumb voice and then proceed to sing the Mocking Bird song, badly. Another line I’ve been thinking about for the past month or so is “Harry, I took care of it” (I’ll say that line in that tone when my partner’s asked me if I’ve done something.) And then proceed to think about the whole conversation: “You sold my dead bird to a blind kid?!” “Pretty bird, pretty bird. Polly want a cracker? Pretty bird.” Another fave dumb comedy that’s very quotable is Forgetting Sarah Marshall. We’ve been saying Russel Brand’s line “Oh no, the shirt, the shirt! Take my eyes but not the shirt!” when he spills juice on his tacky Hawaiian shirt. 😂 Also when Peter gets drunk alone at the bar and pulls the banana out of the cocktail. 🍹
Clue is literally one of the best. I'd argue it isn't dumb though. It has a couple of silly moments, but it's actually really well thought out and doesn't stoop to toilet humor.
I really enjoy the old school silly movies. Bringing Up Baby, The Court Jester and Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House ( w/ Cary Grant and Myrna Loy).
I keep thinking about this though, and I don't know if it's fair to categorize Blazing Saddles as a dumb comedy. I feel like it was definitely the precursor to the format going wild, but besides the campfire scene, I feel like a lot of the jokes are really well crafted.
My favorite is probably also Dumb and Dumber but I just watched There’s Something About Mary for the first time and there were definitely some scenes that got me laughing pretty good.
I loved your '2020" joke, Kylie! Enjoyed watching yo guys, even though I've never seen most of Dumb/Dumber, and I dint' like Zoolander. Each to his own. Except for Jon Bon Jovi, Craig - still smarting over that Tweet!! :) :) My favorite comedy movie (and 1 of my fall time favorites) is "The Jerk" with Steve Martin. :) Socially distanced hugs to you and Kyllie, Elvis, and Crosby. Stay safe, stay positive, stay healthy!!
Oh goodness. Favorite "dumb" comedies. Where do I begin? Friday, Big Daddy, The Waterboy, Troop Beverly Hills, Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead. I can go on...
Cotton: “Average Joes will be forfeiting the championship match.” Pepper: “That’s a bold strategy Cotton, let’s see if it pays off for them.” Absolutely love Dodgeball
A Fish Called Wanda, Young Frankenstein, Blazing Saddles, Airplane. I also love old screwball comedies - my favorite is Bringing Up Baby with Cary Grant and Katherine Hepburn. Also, unrelated - I saw a news story that, apparently, Taco Bell is bringing back two of their potato offerings in March - including cheesy fiesta potatoes - and my first thought was Craig will be so happy!
Excellent excellent list! I just watched A Fish Called Wanda for the first time this year and thought it was so good. The rest are in my normal viewing repertoire. And Bringing Up Baby is so good too! And you better believe we'll be on those potatoes in March!
Dumb & Dumber has to be the best comedy ever. I used to watch it every Christmas Eve and there are still parts I don't know if I hear everything from laughing or quoting the lines. I also really enjoy Step Brothers. Both great movies I can watch over and over again.
I love both 1 and 2. I’ll find myself getting in loops where I answer everything with “Ancient Chinese secret...” and “dot all of the lower case J’s...”
Another fab Lobby time video! For ‘old school comedy’ can’t beat Blazing Saddles with Gene Wilder & Mel Brooks. “Badges, we don’t need no stinking badges!!”
The Naked Gun is an awesome series, also watch the 6 TV episodes of Police Squad! where it all began. Another comedy that I like is The Ringer with Johnny Knoxville.
LOVE Strange Brew! Did not know anything about Bob and Doug McKenzie until college when I picked this up in a 5 dollar bin at Best Buy and became absolutely obsessed with it. I even went out super early on Black Friday a few years back to get a vinyl copy of their 12 Days of Christmas for Record Store Day.
I’d have to agree with your picks, some of my all time favorites, but another one would be Napoleon Dynamite. When I heard dumb & dumber beer, I couldn’t help but think of the scene when they get pulled over and the cop drinks their “beer” haha
Absolutely go for Its a Mad Mad Mad Mad World and also What’s Up Doc with Barbara Streisand and Ryan O’Neill. Both are a ton of laughs. The original Yours Mine and Ours is great. I love old movies. Especially ones with Cart Grant... so go for Philadelphia Story first.
I love Philadelphia Story, but I haven't seen any of the other movies you listed! I've seen bits and pieces of Yours, Mine and Ours (original and remake) but that's it. I have some work to do!
One of my favorite dumb comedies was What About Bob. Richard Dreyfuss is one of my absolute favorite actors. I don't even know what beer you would have with that movie. There is a brewery up near Lake Winnipesaukee called the Lone Wolf Brewery.
Here's the big reveal - I've never seen Real Genius. I've missed out on a lot of 80s from this time. Haven't seen Weird Science either, but I feel like I know everything I need to from shows and movies that have referenced it.
Caddyshack is yearly viewing for me. One of those ones you can put on in the background and just listen, but visualize the entire thing start to finish. One day I'm throwing a Baby Ruth in someone's pool.
My college bf dragged be to see Dumb and Dumber-er with him. Afterward he apologized and bought me dinner. Not sure if it qualifies as “dumb”, but my favorite would probably be Men in Tights 😊
I think we all have an "college ex dragged me to see (insert bad movie)". I'm not even going to say the terrible ones I saw in college. I need to rewatch Men in Tights. It's been years since I've watched it. It never clicked with me like the other Mel Brooks movies.
@@LobbyTime I had the pleasure of meeting Carey Elwes at a con. He was wonderful, and kind, and so sweet with my little one. If you’re ever given the opportunity, I highly recommend you take it.
Black Sheep. I don't remember if we said this on a video or a movie club we were in at one point, but I actually think Black Sheep is better than Tommy Boy. More quotable. Better chemistry. Just superb.
Kylie, you’re very witty! Helps to offset Craig’s sarcasm. Not sure if it’s a dumb comedy, but I love Slap Shot. Growing up, I loved Airplane, but I also didn’t understand most of it.
@@LobbyTime agreed that it’s one of the best hockey movies. The thing is, some of the stuff that happens in the movie either actually happened on some level of professional hockey, or it’s inspired by events from hockey. I’m watching a news clip of a catfish thrown on the ice at a Capitals game wearing a mask.
"Surely you can't be serious?!" - "I am serious, and don't call me Shirley."
Looks like I picked the wrong day to stop sniffing glue.
My favorite slapstick comedy of all time is “It’s A Mad Mad Mad Mad World”. The cameos alone make it a must watch!
It’s amazing how many superstars were in that movie.
Second recommendation for this now so I definitely have to watch it. I feel like I missed this in a gap somewhere.
I've always enjoyed the mock-umentaries. 'Best in Show,' 'Drop Dead Gorgeous,' 'Waiting for Guffman' are classics for sure!
"So you're telling me there's a chance" My favorite dumb comedy is either Dumb & Dumber or Billy Madison. I've lost count the amount of times I've quoted "Peeing your pants is the coolest" while potty training my kids.
No crap - after we finished recording this I started on “If peeing your pants is cool, consider me Miles Davis.”

One of my favourites growing up is Clue: the movie.
Zoolander is also so great!
Dumb and Dumber, Napoleon Dynamite and ANYTHING with the legendary Leslie Nielsen.
By the way, did that beer taste like grandpa's old cough syrup?
Hahahaha "Tic tac sir?"
Step Brothers is definitely my favorite!
Yeah, I’m sure a lot of us don’t know your dad, lol. Blazing Saddles always comes to mind as one of my all time favorites
Blazing Saddles is my favorite. Can’t go wrong with any Mel Brooks Movie.
I keep thinking about this though, and I don't know if it's fair to categorize Blazing Saddles as a dumb comedy. I feel like it was definitely the precursor to the format going wild, but besides the campfire scene, I feel like a lot of the jokes are really well crafted.

Thanks for making me laugh on this one 😂👍🙏omg our family favorite comedy is Spaceballs 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Kylie got me an amazing Spaceballs birthday card one year. Love it so much.
If you don't have Just Friends on your Christmas Watching List, you should add it.
I love your hair Kylie! So cute! I always get a kick out of Tropic Thunder.
Definitely underrated. I still can't control my laughter every time Steve Coogan steps on the land mine.
One of my favorite goofy comedies is So I Married an Ax Murderer with Mike Myers. We quoted lines for years... loved it!
Agree! Axe Murderer would be a career making comedy unless you’re someone as funny as Mike Myers who then goes on to make what he does.
So good to see you both again!! Delightful video from an adorable couple!!
Thank you :)
Oh goodness. Favorite "dumb" comedies. Where do I begin?
Friday, Big Daddy, The Waterboy, Troop Beverly Hills, Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead.
I can go on...
I quote why are alligators are so ornery from Waterboy when we are going on walks some nights haha.
@@LobbyTime THE MEDULLA OBLONGOTTA!!! (sp?)
Oh, and The Distinguished Gentleman, one of Eddie Murphy's most underrated movies.
Cotton: “Average Joes will be forfeiting the championship match.” Pepper: “That’s a bold strategy Cotton, let’s see if it pays off for them.” Absolutely love Dodgeball
If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball!!!
One of my go to memes! I'll randomly just say "Ohhhhhh. Steve the pirate" for no reason haha
A Fish Called Wanda, Young Frankenstein, Blazing Saddles, Airplane. I also love old screwball comedies - my favorite is Bringing Up Baby with Cary Grant and Katherine Hepburn.

Step Brothers is on Tv so much that I forget how good it is and then after a year of not watching it I always remember just how iconic it is.
Yes! I was going to comment about The Stanley! I went there and filmed a vlog. But I knew it from The Shining inspiration 😆
WE COMPLETELY MISSED THAT. MUST GO BACK AND WATCH IMMEDIATELY.
“Bought too much beer”...I often have the same issue😔. Luckily there is a great solution🍺👍🏻
It’s terrible that beer has become a collector’s thing vs just liquid for consumption haha
Wayne's World is my favorite in this category. If she were president, she'd be Babebraham Lincoln.
I love both 1 and 2. I’ll find myself getting in loops where I answer everything with “Ancient Chinese secret...” and “dot all of the lower case J’s...”
Hollywood Knights and Pineapple Express!
Really enjoyed your vlog today. One of my favorite comedies is Friday. Thank you.
I haven’t watched Friday in years! I miss seeing Chris Tucker in movies.
Clue. Also, Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
Another fab Lobby time video! For ‘old school comedy’ can’t beat Blazing Saddles with Gene Wilder & Mel Brooks. “Badges, we don’t need no stinking badges!!”
I remember showing Blazing a saddles to Kylie for the first time. She wasn’t prepared haha.
@@LobbyTime I don’t think anyone was prepared for that film! 🙊 😂
The Naked Gun is an awesome series, also watch the 6 TV episodes of Police Squad! where it all began. Another comedy that I like is The Ringer with Johnny Knoxville.
I still haven't ever watched Police Squad, but one day. I've seen Naked Gun probably 50 times. I know I've watched it twice in 2020 alone haha
Time to watch "Strange Brew", Hoser!
LOVE Strange Brew! Did not know anything about Bob and Doug McKenzie until college when I picked this up in a 5 dollar bin at Best Buy and became absolutely obsessed with it. Craig next time Fiasco or Ryno ask you to visit RI with them stop off to visit “The Big Blue Bug” ....🤣

@@LobbyTime add Arsenic and Old Lace. I’ll have you watching more Cary Grant... North by Northwest is a masterpiece by Hitchcock
Napoleon Dynamite and Step Brothers are my two favorites.
Unpopular opinion - I can't stand Napoleon Dynamite. I quote a few lines from it, but I can't stand it at all.
@@LobbyTime Totally get it. I watched it with my best friend in hs when it first came out so it's very much a situational nostalgia thing.
One of my favorite dumb comedies was What About Bob. Richard Dreyfuss is one of my absolute favorite actors. I don't even know what beer you would have with that movie. There is a brewery up near Lake Winnipesaukee called the Lone Wolf Brewery.
What About Bob is definitely underrated. I feel like they used to show it on Tv all the time and now it’s nowhere.
Rat Race, Kung Pow, Spaceballs, Dodgeball (no particular order)
I told Kylie specifically that she couldn't talk about Kung Pow on this, because she goes to the next level with it haha
@@LobbyTime I am bleeding, making me the victor

The movie "Top secret", showing my age here but as far dumb slapstick comedy's goes it's one of the better ones.
I haven't seen it, but I just looked it up and VAL KILMER!? I'm watching it.
Craig, you are so fun, funny and entertaining on this channel...so, is that really you on DIS Unplugged?
Used cars is a favorite dumb comedy
I've never seen it! I'll add it to the list.

Cool beans.
Real Genius. It’s so quotable.

Baaaaaarf.
Attack of the Killer Tomatoes

Black sheep, Dodgeball
Black Sheep. I don't remember if we said this on a video or a movie club we were in at one point, but I actually think Black Sheep is better than Tommy Boy. More quotable. Better chemistry. Just superb.
