So great that jeep thought of this, theyre in tune to what a jeep owner wants! Looks like an awesome kit, but one I'd say should be installed from the factory!
The switch bank is an optional factory installed accessory, however this kit allows you to install the option if you purchased a Wrangler without it already there.
The only way that I've seen to get the switch is to add the trailer tow package which also has a slightly larger battery and alternator. That option add $795 to the MSRP. I think that is just a bit steep for adding a trailer hitch and I'll add one myself at some point.
The kit costs $375 plus shipping plus programming at the dealership so it probably works out to close to $500. If you order this with your vehicle, it costs $708 (invoice) and it also comes with a trailer hitch w/ harness and a better alternator and battery and of course it comes pre-assembled. Something to consider when you're pricing out your new factory order.
Yes true - but - sometimes when you go to the dealer the floor models in stock may not have every deatail/option that you want installed. Two options, order to build custom and wait about 7 - 10 days - OR- take what they have. I took one from their lot sticker priced $50k with almost all the upgrades we wanted and in color that we wanted for $46k. We figured we can add the other upgrades later on. Love our Jeep - awesome vehicle and nothing like it on the market!
JGphins 7 to 10 days??? Try 3 to 4 months if you're lucky. Depending on what was ordered, some people that ordered in January still haven't got theirs. I just ordered mine last week, MSRP was $46,845. I got it for $40,685 that includes the towing package that the aux switches come with.
It’s a no brainer if you’re ordering or find a floor model. If buying after the fact products like SPOD make more sense for the same price point in the end.
@@JH-tj9jd I have the tow package on my gladiator sport s and i didn't get the switches so no it doesn't just come with it, you have to build it that way.
Thanks for the info. My understanding the Trailer Tow and HD Electrical Group package that comes from the factory for $795 include a 700 amps maintenance fee battery and a 240 amps Alternator. Do I need to upgrade my battery and alternator when I install the AUX switches?
I really like the look of this auxiliary switch bank. I have the Daystar lower dash switch panel for my JK, but really wish they had something that looked like this for it
So, reading some comments on the JL forum pages. It mentions an extra fuse is needed to make these work. Is this true? I am curious because you and other retailers don’t mention this. Thanks a great clear video
I'm thinking about getting these switches when I eventually get a Wrangler. I already have something in mind for one of the 40-amp switches (air compressor), along with two lights that could utilize switches 3 and 4. Would you have any recommendations on how I can use the remaining 40-amp aux switch?
No. The switches are designed for and rely on the UConnect system in the 2018 Wrangler JL in order to work. There are other aftermarket switch bank kits available for the JK - www.quadratec.com/categories/jeep_electrical/switches_dash_knobs/switch-pods

Are the switch lights supposed to be on? I have no indicator lights for my switches. My Jeep! has been flashed so I have access to them via my radio. Do they need to be wired to a device in order to illuminate?

Should be standard on all Jeeps and should have six switches.

Ken Takabe Correct, comes with the tow package.

I don't know why I missed aux switch when order my jl XR. I thankful I found this
Thanks for the sticker shock, I'm planning on a Gladiator so I'll just have installed when ordered.
Happy to see this as a factory accessory, this is one of the only options my JL Rubicon didn't come with that I wanted.
We have a few of them in stock right now!
Quadratec Awesome! What about LED headlight? Will that be offered from mopar?
how about an install video?

depends on what you plan on installing on those switches, usually the light bars don't need to upgrade anything outside of stock
I'm sure Spod will have something quick.
What pin extraction tool is required to pull the orange wire on the plug on the passenger side???????

Why is there no kit available for the diesel jt no body makes a kit specifically for the diesel models .

if the aux switches already have fuses and relays.....do I still use the full harness with my IPF lights with these things attached?
My JL came with the Aux switches. But the manual is very vague in connecting to the switches. Do you have a video showing how this is done?
Will have a how to install video to follow up this one?

do you have any option touse that space for a wireless charger? or something else?
definitely should be a standard factory installed option in the rubicon gladiator, alas, it is not...more money 💰
Do you guy sell the oem led headlights? If yes can I swap out my halogen jl sport ones

@@TheBerkeleyBeauty Not yet. This Wrangler is still years away.
That is not enough switches to light up my jeep like the mid day sun on my way to the mall.
johnypants
Lol...
Can the buttons pop off? Say if I wanted to 3D print a custom labeled individual button. Anyone know?
This kit while optional should have been standard on the willys.
great video just wondering if these switches will fit on jeep jk
They will not.
Can this be modified to work with the JK?
No it takes programming in the computer to work

$375 though this is not cheap for 4 switches.
Wait until they charge you $100 to program it at the dealership
Showed me everything except where the switch goes inside the cab.
My Ardunio can do that for 10 bucks. Ill just wire my own system thanks..
now we need a mirrored version so i can have 8
just show how to install it already... christ all mighty enough with these long winded videos just to describe something as minute as a switchpod
