- Defi wind 2022 from the perspective of an amateur but "experienced" rider, part of the Dutch Tram Riders team.
Race 1 is only partly covered because my camera stopped working.
Race 3 has a better coverage, it felt like my best race though the result was the worst.
Nevertheless, an unforgettable experience that moves your limits. If you doubt, don't hesitate, train and join the next Defi.

It was more choppy then it looks like through the wide angle gopro lens.

I have the same board. It can be fast, also forgiving. Mine is retired now after too many fixes. I loved it.

Hey, you are using wave gear for a slalom race? Use at least a freerace or decemt slalom board and a proper race sail to let the fin fly over the chop.
With gusts well above 40 kn I cannot hold the racesails. Boards were Manta 95l an 3S 106 with slalom fins. Many otters chose similar gear, defi is like no otter race.
He is right. I used my AC-ONE 5,6 on the fin and a F1 SL 4,7 on the foil. Those sails had the perfekt size but who has such small slamlom sails if he isn‘t a competitive windsurfer?
