    The idea of a new family in town being forced to trap more people reminds me of the ending of "Manos: The Hands of Fate."

    Shannon needs to write and star in a movie where he runs a Christmas-themed cult and lures people to his "town".

      The Christmas Rink. He lures them to a frozen pond and makes them take high slashes, cross checks, and 100 MPH frozen pucks to the face. The following year all the bodies are placed under the water, float up to the ice sheet and beg to be released while the new patches learns the spirit of christmas spearing, hooking, and roughing. Starring The Santa Guy and his murderous kittens.

    I like how there's always beverages in these movies such as air coffee and hot chocolate that the actors handle and actually try to drink convincingly though it's obvious the adult sippy-cups are empty.

    Love the Christmas movie rants in general, because I can't really stand them, but the bingo card idea might be good for possibly getting through one, should I decide to watch any.

    Reminds me of the "Christmas Spirit" episode of South Park. All these little Xmas towns are full of the best drugs!

    Gotta love TEG using dark logic and rationality to try and help rationally explain away Christmas movies! 😂😂

    The idea of a horror-tinged Christmas trap town reminds of SCPs like 3008 and the one about the Crooked Man.

    I just want to raise my hand and say that I am indeed _that_ lunatic that likes to go out in winter and take walks while mosty smiling.

    If I want to see movies this formulaic, I'll watch B-Westerns from the 1930s and '40s. At least those are fast-paced and only an hour long.

      Most Christmas movies are less than 90 minutes.

      @@NotTheHockeyGuy I did enjoy this video. The alternative is constantly complaining about those Christmas movies, likely annoying someone, so I think your attitude is healthy.

    Yeah where the hell do all these small town folk get all their money. Big houses. Tons of Decorations. Inside, Outside, 50 family members, food, lots of food, and all the gifts that costs hundreds if not thousands. They even buy each other cars. Here's a 60k car for you. They have all this time to do stuff. Time cook. Bake. 20 kids in the house and its spotless. 5 dogs, no dog hair. When do the credit card bills come in? The day after Christmas......that's the horror story.

    What is more of a Christmas movie, Die Hard or Love Actually?

    • @JPMadden
      @JPMadden 20 годин тому

      I understand that for many, mostly younger, people, "Die Hard" is a Christmas movie. It's not for me, probably because I'm old enough to have seen it in a theater in 1988, before it became a Christmas TV staple. What I don't understand is why so many people stridently need to tell you it's a Christmas movie, and that's there something wrong with you if you disagree. It's like a U.S. presidential election. I don't get it; seems like a strange "hill to die upon."
