@@SAMO2001 There are a couple of suspicious looking thyroid nodules that were found in the ultrasound. What is strange is that the side that I was having problems on was not where they found them. I just had a very tiny one in that side.

Is it normally in both ears or one? I had in both and it would rotate from left to right. There are times when the pain would go completely away for a majority of the day then come back later in day. I’ve had the back of throat/ nasal irritation, throat globus, salivary gland swelling, etc…It goes down but comes back. It’s Jan 15 2024 and I’ve had these issues since Thanksgiving 2023 and my PCP (V.A. hospital) keeps dismissing my cries for help and tells me it’s PSTD. She says it’s nothing because ENT couldn’t find any evidence of cancers or abnormalities. I was diagnosed with EBV in 2010 and I just recently found out that a former (one encounter) sexual partner just finished treatment and is in remission for HPV cancer

Typical presentation is pain in one ear on the side of the tumor, IF it is tumor related. The pain, swelling, soreness in the throat is usually persistent, and does not go away. A CT scan is a common tool for diagnosis. I hope you can connect with providers that listen and can help you resolve your symptoms.

Thank you for the advice and responding so quickly. I emailed my PCP doctor at V.A. She said Oncology refuses to see any patient who hasn't been diagnosed with cancer. A nurse I know that works at V.A. Oncology told me you have to have a golf ball sized lump or multiple sores in the mouth to test before they'll see you. She said it's sad because by the time they make it in 91% of the veterans are at Stage 4a.

I'm having all of what you mentioned. ENT did a nasal endoscopy and discovered one enlarged lingual tonsil. Had me take 40mg of some heart burn meds for 4 weeks to rule out GERD. I go back this week as symptoms haven't resolved with the medication. He said next step is biopsy. I'm fearing it is this.....

Hey Sparkle… Well I’m still trying to find out what’s been bothering since Thanksgiving. I will admit the symptoms have lessened drastically and I rarely feel any ear pain and but on occasion there is some slight canal pressure. My throat continues to become irritated at times, then goes away to where it’s not even noticeable. I did a follow up with Sleep Apnea doctor who suggested replacing my C-Pap machine to a B-Pap device. Also, I just performed a Barium Swallow procedure with no luck of finding of throat or esophagus issues (he did find a small stomach non threatening hernia). I did see last week about a small centralized epidemic of people all having meningitis and the symptoms were similar and lasted from early November until now. Well I hope you feel better soon and keep us updated on your progress. 🙏🏼

@@SparkleLady69 I'm sorry to hear of your concerns and hope the fix is simple. I did this video to say that sometimes it's not simple, and you have to push for prompt testing, biopsy and CT scan. Wishing you the best possible answers.
