SKY ONE, there’s many reasons on why I like Power Girl more than Supergirl in the comics, and I can go on an endless long rant if you want me to, but I’d only list off those reasons if you list off your reasons on why you like Supergirl.

She just means she doesn't want to get defined as just Superman's Cousin, she wants to be her own person, it doesn't mean she isn't proud to be his cousin, and she's far from how they treat the Kate Kane character in her series, she is so anti her cousin that it's hard to watch, but at least for their version, Kara respects and loves her cousin and his legacy, but she wants to be known more as her own hero. It's no different than when Nightwing doesn't want to be just known as Batman's sidekick anymore. The show just puts it in a bad light because of its overly feminist agenda. She just doesn't want to be stuck in his shadow when she's just trying to make a name for herself.

Settle it like a man can refer to male as in contest of strength and/or combat, occasionally bravery a task overwhelmingly for obvious reasons (at least i hope I don't need to explain them) was up to men. Settling issues through violence is perceived as childish or pathology with exceptions of accepted necessity (such as self-defense) in current times (at least in more civilized countries and ares that aren't dysfunctional) .
If you want them to settle it like men then that’s what you say if you want them to settle it like women then you say that. If you want them to settle it like alligators then you say that….so on so on
For most people who don't know, "man" wasn't really a gendered term in the past. If I'm not mistaken (correct me if I am), man was a term to describe an adult human. Or describe humanity as a whole. The context surrounding the word "man" was far different from how we understand the word "man". So I kinda get why people raise eyebrows when you say something like "act manly" or "be a man", but they kinda miss the context behind those words which isn't exactly "be literally male" or "conform to social conception of what a man is", but rather "act like a mature responsible adult". There are people in positions of authority who could give two shits about equality, but if they can manufacture and promote problems around the subject so as to make things hard for a competitor, they will. Or if they are on a more govt level, they can use it to try and neuter the populace and make men think being masculine(IE, a strong threat to corrupt authority figures.) is wrong or make women think that being feminine and having children is wrong, and in general, ashamed of being attracted to the oppositie sex and reproducing, they will and that is all that matters to them at the end of the day. Their are administrative fgures who actually scheme in this Henry Kissinger approved manner. Hell, our CIA even schemed to create a "gay bomb" for "enemies", so promoting shit like "gender" based divide and conquer, is not surprising.

Some of these points are perfectly valid but take up too much screen time and focus which makes them rough to watch. If they were a bit more subtle it would go over a lot better. People don't usually get subtlety though so it creates this kind of tv which combined with anything that agitates people makes the whole thing much worse than it actually it.

Im just pointing things out and giving things a fair go. You say im defending it but that makes it sound like im trying to protect it. My comments are more to those who would bash it unreasonably. The mindset and unfair judgement are what i speak to and the thing being spoken of hardly matters to that end. It's like when you see someone say something incorrect and you correct them. This is less black and white but responding to people who have shown such bias in definitely worth doing. At the very least i get other people who may see my comment later. super girl was named super girl because in the COMIC the correct form of the story, and plot of all DC heroes. she was YOUNG, hence girl, when i was growing up, we called young women, girls, and young men, boys. Supergirl was inherently stronger than superman anyway, as explained by batman, she absorbs sunlight better than superman. He's still a better superhero, he's been doing it longer. super girl was named super girl because in the COMIC the correct form of the story, and plot of all DC heroes. she was YOUNG, hence girl, when i was growing up, we called young women, girls, and young men, boys. Supergirl was inherently stronger than superman anyway, as explained by batman, she absorbs sunlight better than superman. He's still a better superhero, he's been doing it longer.
