Same heat but no rain here in Kansas. I'm not growing any of the crops you mentioned. How are those water reservoirs working out with all of your rain? THANKS for this video Jenn!
What are you growing this summer?? The self watering wicking cells are working well! I think the rain hasn’t been an issue because the pumpkins and butternut squash are such heavy drinkers. I think I stumbled upon a good combo of crops in the raised bed during rainy season 😂
@@SpaceCoastHarvest Currently, the bush beans, beats, radishes, carrots and lettuce are about done. Cilantro bolted almost as soon as it grew. Due to the intense heat and low rainfall here, I am growing LOTS of Genovese Basil so that I have a good supply to dry for winter use. And a purple basil that looks gorgeous and tastes like Genovese. I will replant more bush beans and beets. And my Korean melons are taking off like your squash and pumpkins. The pepper plants that I direct sowed from seed aren't doing squat. The flowers are dropping from them. Climate change is real! I don't care what anybody else says. I will use the down time in the larger, soon-to-be empty raised bed to add more raised bed mix to counter the settling that has occurred since I filled it in March. It should be ready for fall planting in late August. I also have Swamp milkweed, Echinacea, Giant Red Sunflowers, lavender, two kinds of garlic chives, rosemary, spearmint, and Dwarf Bluestem Grass currently growing in terracotta pots and grow bags. Glad your wicking cells are working. I wondered if they flooded with all of your rain.
Haha I think I hate eggplant too! I cooked some last week and hated it. I’m going to try again and this time make some little pizzas with eggplant slices as the crust The Seminole pumpkin is nuts! It’s growing so incredibly fast!
I love that Seminole pumpkin!!
