To be fair, Tendou is a marmite rider like Tsukasa (decade). You either like him or not. I like them both, they're kinda loveable douchebags.

Kamen Rider Kabuto is one of the greatest Tokusatsu shows of the all time. In this show, Tendou Souji uses the Kabuto Zecter to turn into Kamen Rider Kabuto and fighs various Worms and other enemies using his abilities such as Cast Off, Clock Up, Rider Kick and others. Succeeding Hibiki and Preceeding Den-O, Kabuto is one of the greatest Heisei Rider shows of all time alongside Ryuki, Dacade, Gaim and Ex-Aid.
In this series you can change if you are choosen by the sector but you can force change by catching the sector in the air and insert it into the driver
This is literally a cross between a BeetleBonder and an EctoAccelerator.
I really hope they give us the Sasword version for this set, belt, saber and everything...that's all I wish for.
kabuto is my favourite rider, he is not like the other ones, is arrogant and he dont like anything like friendship, is my favourite character really... but maybe is a little beacuse was my first rider series.. anyways tendou is a cool arrogant guy, lol

Hey Emgo, if you watch Kabuto God Speed Love, it shows his character as less of a jerk, and the story of the movie is pretty good too.

Emgo, in the movie God speed love , tendou did get his butt kicked once in a scene and it was very cool that way I think. I think if you want to see him gets his butt kicked, you should go watch Kamen rider kabuto the movie God speed love, you will like it

I will say this about Tendo: I do understand why he has the personality that he has after watching the episodes. Doesn't erase his faults, but I can at least have a better understanding why.
Plus, if anything else, he does get defeated somewhat in the movie so there's that for you.

Dark Kabuto changes Tendou a lot, he gets owned a couple more times.
Reason why Tendou is so arrogant is because of his adopted grandmother who told him that he walks the path of heaven and he rules over all

About the show and the characters, everyone has their own opinion. If he doesn't like it, that's it for him. If you like tendou as I do, thats our thoughts.. we don't need to argue over it. 😅 And yes, Tendou is my favorite rider character, and its because his "stone face" and reliables side. Yes, he is look so superior among other rider. He know how to fight and hide his actual thinking.. well.. that is IMHO. 😅

Just wait until you see kabuto's movie... BTW Kanuto is the only show where I really dislike most if not all of the riders (Ryuki comes next) an I've watched all shows from kuuga up to drive
the reason of why there wasn't clock up sound becasue at the first it was suppose to be *ALWAYs* clock up mode at Rider form. and it changed after when they start to release the actual toy

In terms of relatable I think Tendou is less like the person you are, and more like you want to be. He's good at lots of things, and confident. For me I wish I was more of both, and as far as learning Japanese, I hope to come across as very confident when I speak it.

sure he's a douche, but he is the main focus of the show. there are so many other riders, and a character being an asshole doesn't necessarily make them a bad character.

I was actually fine with Tendou as he was behaving like that because of his upbringing,however the one that I didn't like was that "rich " guy who got the sasori zector. I know he is a well developed character, but the " I don't know anything about life outside my castle " made me dislike him. Oh and then there is Daisuke that guy is the enemy of women, trying to date them with that stupid speech that he can never finish without help.

Okay, back in 1971, some Japanese people In the Japanese country of Japan created a series called Kamen Rider, the main character being Kamen Rider Ichigo, literally translating to Masked Rider 1, who was a guy experimented on by Shocker, an evil organizations giving him a belt allowing him to turn into the grasshopper-themed hero Kamen Rider Ichigo. He also had a cool motorcycle. The show went on, creating many series norms like the Rider Kick and the secondary rider, and now, 45 years later, the current series is Kamen Rider Ghost. Despite the name and obvious theme, it's still managed to stick to an insect motif. I highly recommend it.

Seriously, what the hell? It's starting to annoy me that there are all these "adult collector items" that would have been normal toys a few years back. Do you have to be an adult to buy good toys now? I'm only 12, but that doesn't mean I cant appreciate a good toy. I have to go out of my way to find these deals online for a crap ton of money to buy a decent toy just because I don't wanna deal with all these crappy one step changers or other toys that are crapily painted and made of bad materials. Am I the only kid who likes good toys nowadays?

I went into this series after catching up with the latest episode of Ex-Aid which I got into after I watched your review of the level1-2-3 figures. I must say yeah, it's hard to watch this series when the main protagonist is an arrogant douche with no change or comeuppance. It is a bit bearable, though, if you think of Kagami as the main protagonist. It is also worth mentioning that it is totally satisfying when he finally gets to be a kamen rider.
I thought that you would say "Rider Kick" instead of palm in your face XD

Tendou thinks he's awesome when in fact he is AWESOME!!! Not to be one of those guys who just complains in the comment section, but I shared my opinion. In fact the show is a huge part of the reason I'm learning Japanese.
Daniel McDonough yes, but the arrogance was the main flaw with the character. I couldn't relate to the character becuase he gave me nothing to relate to. He barely showed any emotion even after his sister was taken to another dimension. His facial expression never changed. I think it was episode 26 before he even raised his voice. He was very boring and one dimensional. I liked the other riders in the show more than I liked the main one. I'm glad you loved the series. I still enjoyed it, but right now it's at the bottom of the rider series I've watched so far. To each his own.
emgo316 Upon re-watching the show myself recently *ok, few months actually lol*, I ended up liking Tendou less and Kagami much more because of character development. He grew as the series progressed and it takes a personality like his to put up with a guy like Tendou, XD. Plus honestly, I love Gatack's kick better too (sorry Kabuto ; ;), heh.
GeekBearReporter I'm with you there. There was no character arc for tendou, no growth, very little actual acting (except when he was dark kabuto). He was the same in the last episode as he was in the first. The only real difference was he was okay with kagami helping him, even though most of time he was still like "stay out of my way, I don't need you, don't butt in." It made the character just boring.
