I love watching this over & over again....courage, stamina & determination on both Battleship & Bruce Hobbs. WOW. I wonder how War Admiral would have done or Blockade. We'll never know, but this day in March, it was nice to see a son of Man O' War win the blue riband of steeplechasing. Ever.
Bruce Hobbs was just seventeen , a record , i m confident this won t be equalled or beaten , Battleship was the smallest horse in the race and a stallion , Bruce Hobbs went on to become a top flat trainer based at Newmarket .
