Very helpful video. I booked Moon Palace Grand because of the $1500 resort credit. Going in March.. Now i wont waste my time and energy trying to use the credit.
Thank you for the HONEST video. Wife and I are looking to book an anniversary vacation now. Was looking at Palace Resorts and other properties. This affirms to me, there is no such thing as a free lunch (lol, edited comment because you said what I was thinking in the end). Thanks so much for the content. Subscribed.
Thank you for the video. I booked a vacation because it said up to $1600 in resort credits. I would have been upset during my vacation if I found this out. Now I expect it and if something pans out I will consider it a bonus. This would have put a huge damper on my trip. Thank you!
Ahhh the credits...we learned the hard way too! Have never used them again. Additionally it gets confusing and opens a window for sneaky fees that can be confusing to dispute. Live n learn :)
Anytimes someone from the resorts approaches you it's a scam they're trying to sell they're trying to get you to see so you could spend additional monies in the future by purchasing memberships or future stays.
Thank you for this video. I was wondering what resort credits are about and having done a time share presentation once, I don’t want to repeat that experience ever again. This was very informative.
We used the “membership meeting” to get an extra night at Leblanc or to get 60 min massage for 2; dont accept resort credits to participate in the meeting
Thank you! Love your videos! So informative! Do you know why Palace Resorts membership is so difficult to get out of even within the 5 day window? It’s beyond frustrating
Thank you so much. I haven’t done it yet because I still have a few nights left to use! And you have to sign a contract that you won’t publicly disclose certain things when you’re a member so am waiting!
Thank you for the information! We went to Cancun and went with Nacho as per your recommendation and had a great experience! Would you happen to have an opinion or tips video about resort membership?
Yes!!!! I agree!! I want to do a video on it but waiting until it runs out because they can take it away if I start going public with numbers etc. email me at 3days3noches@gmail.com
Please do so when your ready. My wife and I have visited a few Palaces and are now exploring options. We’re a family of 5 and considered checking out their member options.
I am a member. Been a member for many years…There’s a paper that tells you how much of your resort credits can be used and where you can use them. Nothing in life is free. If you go through life expecting things to be free you will be scammed. You just have to pay for what you want. There are fine prints and you just have to read everything. The main parts of the membership is your best price weeks. Everything else that comes with it is gravy. If youre gonna get a membership just remember that the cheapest is never usually the best especially if you are someone who likes the finer things in life.
Hi thanks for watching! We went on a tour to Isla Mujeres but the resort credits did not apply to that one. No you may not use the credits to go to the grand 🤬😂.
I'm so glad your are doing this type of videos, so people don't get hopes high and get very disappointed! I truly was disappointed! Wish I watch your video earlier.
Someone said you can use them on laundry services so when you go back home you have clean laundry. It’s hard to say because they charge so much taxes on whatever you use it for. It wasn’t worth it for us 😞
@@3Days3Noches I guess ill have to look into it more. Wouldn't it save us some money on an excursion? Would assume I'm paying taxes anyway. Great videos BTW, I will be watching many more!
Awww thank you! Yes for the excursions BUT resort credits are only for certain ones and on certain days and times!!! So since we usually travel for 3days3noches it never worked out and it wasn’t things we wanted to do. Contact them ahead of time and they will give you the list etc
Has anyone here ever booked a resort stay with your own money, not a timeshare meeting or sales promotion but have booked directly on the resorts website and has been given say $200 in resort credits just for booking directly with them? Are these resort credits honored?
Agree totally with the credits info. Also, the gift shop is totally over priced like 3 times what u can buy stuff at in town at the supermarket that sells the same or similar items.
Your video is very informative and I totally agree with you resort credits are a scam and are used as a tactic to encourage people to spend more money.
Yep, they are and I know from personal experience! And then on top of that, the ones that you can use resort credits for say excursion, for example, are crappy excursions where the tour guy then tries to convince you to spend more money at the shops that they take you to. Secondly, anything that you are allowed to purchase you have to pay a 16% tax on top of it as well and if any of these excursions are at a particular facility, you have to pay a certain percentage tax to that facility. It is all a scam and I wish I had known that before I signed any contract but thankfully my contract wasn’t very much because, we talked them down to a few thousand dollars, but still I’m out several thousand dollars with little to no benefit
There are so many rules… You get 500 “resort credit” depending on your status but you can only spend a certain amount like 250 in the spa but everything in the spa cost more money than that so you end up paying more and then it’s taxed 16 percent….. Also when you go to a different resort they try to insist on you going to another “member update” so they can sell you on a better package or in their words “give you the opportunity to ask questions🙄” and when you say no they get a little aggressive. We literally had ours for a little less than 4 mth from Cabo then went to Jamaica and they tried upselling. We just walked away and said no.
I go for vacation, not to nit pick the dollar amounts but then I don't care how much items or service cost. I go for fun, If you don't like the palace resorts, go to a vrbo and do the native life style thing.

Ty for subscribing! It means a lot! Yeah I was bummed the first time too

I am so grateful for these videos that you do. So so so helpful.

Thank you so much for watching!! That’s why I made it! To save others from the headache lol

Ty so much!!! Omg I know it’s crooked really!!!
Really enjoying your videos. You mention you'll be doing a video on your membership experience. Did you create that video? Thanks!

Would you happen to have an opinion or tips video about resort membership?
Awesome! I haven’t done one yet bc I still have a few nights left and they can take them away if I publicly bash it 🤣
They must have change some things. My wife and I used up to almost 1k of resort credits in one day and just had to pay the taxes at the spa.
Nice
Will you get charged if you don’t use your resort credits at all
You will not get charged!
What is the best way to contact Sun Palace resort to answer questions regarding resort credits?
Maybe their concierge?
Are you a Palace Elite member we are and it’s been a challenging experience to say the least.
Yes!!!! I agree!! I want to do a video on it but waiting until it runs out because they can take it away if I start going public with numbers etc. email me at 3days3noches@gmail.com

@@rodolfo7765 please do your RESEARCH not everything is always what it seems.
Yes so true!! It’s been annoying being a member and there are so many great resorts out there

Which tours did you go on?
Can you use these credits to purchase day passes to the grand?
Hi thanks for watching! We went on a tour to Isla Mujeres but the resort credits did not apply to that one. No you may not use the credits to go to the grand 🤬😂.
Thanks for sharing.!! God bless
Ty for watching
Were you able to use the credits for the dining upgrades?
Unfortunately not
Absolutely true!
It’s Annoying!! Lol

I was too the first time!!! So annoying
What should I use the credits for to get the best value? Or dont use them at all?

Yes but again you usually have to pay tax on anything you get

Can you use resort credits to go to Chichen Itza?
You can not! It’s very limited on what you can use it

@kimberlyNP me too :(
where is the video of whether you should become a member of palace resorts? I am intrigued
I haven’t done it yet!!! When I do I’ll include the link here!
I don’t disagree but $100 per room is not accurate.
Yes I believe it is! Or maybe $100 per person per room?
100 per room I just came from there, that much money you can get a happy ending in th US😅

All our guest get to use 800 at spa
We love them and go to spa 4 times a week when we are at the grand
That’s awesome!!
