Theory: Mediatonic wants you to get friends to play fall guys together for squad games (instead of playing squad by yourself) so that they can get more players.
I believe your theory is correct and here is why I think so. The free rewards like for a emote the most recent one which was the snow angel. One of the challenges was to play in a party.

8:32 That's me in solos, duo, or squads. I just throw for easy XP. Not trying to waste my time doing actual shows when I just mainly care about the battle pass cosmetics. Thank goodness they are easy to get.
Now I'll admit, I've only played squads with friends for quite a while now, but before then I found it quite difficult to carry a team of noobs, so this doesn't seem too different to me XD
I rarely play squads so I was wondering how this affects the gameplay, this puts it in to perspective how bad of an idea "average team elo/skill" is, especially for skilled players who want to solo queue squads for fun. Basically forces you to play duos for non sweaty gameplay, or go back to solos so you can bet on yourself. Definitely an interesting decision by MT lol

you totally misunderstood the entire purpose of the video. I enjoy helping the people that struggle, and now because of this update I can't do that anymore.

Why not just do the auto qualify creative rounds? They finish your dailies in minutes
The lag at the start of the Volleyfall was a bug not actually your fault there is a bug that this happens in squads for the first 10 seconds or so

I think skill based matchmaking is out of solos now, my lobbies have been way easier in solos now, that might explain why it’s now in squads
