Loved this tutorial and drawing, and I would really like to watch more reptile-drawing tutorials, they’re such fascinating creatures and so underrated. Also, your pet bearded dragon is adorable!
Howdy, so glad I found you as I'm loving your art and teaching manner. My first sketch wasn't to badly done. I did mine just now in a 3"x3.5" size. I had an Iguana once too. I loved her. This is great thanks.
I'm still on my pen and ink course of yours Matt I know I've been pretty elusive for a long while esp because of my health issues but this year is mostly going to be a get back to learning year. I have a couple of commisions I'm on doing and I do want to do drawings in between lessons/courses. You know I love you courses and live lessons well everything ❤ Also I decided to have a go at watercolour, when I joined the virtual instructor I was only interested in graphite drawing, then I did a colour lesson of matts and I really enjoyed it so I added that on the list, then I wanted to try pastels and I still do even though I've not started eith them yet. I'll have a dab at charcoal not started on that yet and then I started matts pen and ink because I did spiderman drawing in black ink and the method stippling and its very time consuming but I found it relaxing so that sparked my interest there. I don't want to do acrylics and oil paintings, I really mean that lol. Also for my interest in watercolour is my Mam showed me these beautiful coloured paintings and I was surprised when she said it was watercolour !!!! My thoughts were always I'm not keen to look at watercolour paintings as they looked so washed out. But these were great paintings. I have a lesson still to do from V.I Secrets to drawing with oul pastels, I have a small pack just to have a go. I got a pack of canvas boards for oil pastels which are classed as paintings, I think soft pastels and pastel pencils are also classed paintings . Anyway I'm doing a winter scene, see how it goes, it's lightly been drawn. Again thanks Matt for a wonderful art website and of course on here. By now I should of had all the courses I wanted to do but it depends on how I am and I have another lifelong condition. I hate winter ad I'm usually ill most of it, I've had 2 chest infections and 2 colds I'll get there eventually lol but the most important thing is my art does help me, takes me mind off it all and sometimes I can't do any at all because of fatigue and pain. I can say to anyone Matts site is just superb and I recommend it to anyone, there is loads more and live lessons and his courses with video and Ebooks, his blog, forum and more ...... www.thevirtualunstructor.com
Awwwww she is gorgeous, I've had 2 bearded dragons and I love them both so much, they were both rescues and my 1st was very chilled out and lazy really. But my 2nd younger one was Full of energy flying around the living room when I had him out, he climbed up our legs and he would jump off the sofa which my heart was in my mouth when he 1st did it. I know they have no sense of edges, we had a low sofa at the time and he kinda started crawling down a bit then jump he did this loads of times, he was such a character. They both passed away of old age. I didn't get anymore because with health issues I can't look after them properly anymore. Xx

Great lesson, as usual, but sure wish you'd done your beardie, as I'd love to pen my son's beardie for him! Nice iguana, tho! :)
What a beauty she is!

Absolutamente maravilloso ,👏👏👏👏
Super nice!
It's a beautiful drawing
😮😂 you did really prank my brother and he 🎉😂thought it was real
That's how I draw reptiles too..just kinda wing it with the tons of scales if they are small and many many of them.
We also have been taught to read from left to right, top to bottom. You are reading!
I like how the iguana In the referance photo looks younger than how you drew him...made him look more regal
Great 👌💞🔥
amazing and so beautiful
Matt is this also included in TVI membership courses?
the intro is ironic to me, since I came here for reference to draw my bearded dragon, Fargo. hahaha
