    Big Sur finally sorts out the problem with incompatible boot rom thereby allowing Macbook pros and airs that had hibernation issues with 3d party nvme ssds to finally be able to properly hibernate. Therefore, the fix here is no longer needed. To revert, you can do one of the following:
    1. sudo pmset standby 1 hibernatemode 3
    2. pmset restoredefaults
    3. Or go to System Preferences > Energy Saver and click the Restore Defaults button

    How do you undo it, go back to default?

    • @JapmeetSingh
      @JapmeetSingh 3 роки тому +1

      "sudo pmset standby 1 hibernatemode 3" or you can type "pmset restoredefaults" or you can go to System Preferences > Energy Saver and click the Restore Defaults button

      Hey, by the way, I installed Big Sur on my Macbook Air running a Crucial P1 500GB nvme ssd and the new OS solves the hibernate issue altogether. So we don't need to mess around with pmset anymore!
