At time point 17:57, the carolina wren spreads out his wings and reveals the rump feathers with white spots. It may be trying to get the ants out of the wings or something like that. Anyone seen this happening at the bird feeder before? It's amazing how some birds show the rump feathers either at rest (at night) or while anting in the sun (during the day). :)
I remember you mentioned that about the high contrast being appealing to your cat, these few "high key" videos I made are because of you. My cat also much prefers high contrast over something like a wooded background. Any more advice? I'm happy to listen!

Here's 2 of them doing the same thing at the same time: ua-cam.com/video/mGfZfW_hKZQ/v-deo.html
Naw, the wren is just taking a dust bath in the seeds!
It's trying to get ants to onboard (anting). It is thought the ant's formic acid may discourages mites in their feathers.
These are immaculate birds that apparently never poop. Nice editing.
Beautiful- my cat appreciates the uncluttered light background which makes the birds more visible and fun to watch.

Tranquil- my two kittens and I both love this video. Especially with the sounds of rippling water in background. Thanks!

Both my cat and I are enjoying your video! Not so sure the Cardinals would be pleased to be on film while molting though. ;)
I agree, I mean they look a bit silly! but I was glad to learn they were just doing a normal thing and there was nothing wrong with them!
Yes, that one female in particular had me pausing to check out her ear. 😊
