Bio:
Shelley Karpaty is a writer, podcaster, teacher, and intuitive whose essays and articles have been featured in Mad in America, The Sun, Business Insider, Elephant Journal, and LA Yoga. Her essay about slowing down in Silicon Valley during the pandemic appears in "Six Feet Apart... in the Time of Corona" (Acorn, 2022). Her podcasts and additional essays on motherhood, spirituality, and mental health can be found on Spicy Soul Mama.
A student of Ram Dass and Jack Kornfield, Shelley is also a member of A Writing Room, the international writing community founded by Anne Lamott, in which she facilitates study groups based on Jennifer Leigh Selig's "Deep Memoir." Shelley's workshop "Ignite Your Creativity Through Journaling" is available now and is being taught to online students. She teaches mindfulness meditation online and locally in the Coachella Valley.
