GV: Great explanation on the modulo. Could never understand the function but now I see one of the many uses of the modulo function, Thanks for sharing.
I just started to learn Power Query with the help of your video ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,if possible can you please also share this excel file which you used on this power query Great explanation on the modulo. Could never understand the function but now I see one of the many uses of the modulo function, Thanks for sharing.
Thx a lot! :) This is just I've need. I've tried to use modulo as promoted headers (after transpon) and then ungroup tables but it failed - the number of iteration was so big, that my I-7 computer worked 3 hours and couldn't resolve it. Now I'm home! :) Sub and thumb up of course, greetings.
What if the value of the modulo changes? In this example you told it the number was 6 prior, what if it is it subject to the number of items in each “group?
utalgreg what I ended up doing was I created 2 columns, and (depending on the amount of data) I made all Items in the group equal “AAA”, the next group was “AAB”....etc. the 2nd Column I used an Index to number everything from 1 down. I also had to index the AAA to ZZZ column too, but it works now
Good stuff mate. Only downside is hardcoding 6 as fixed interval, this would work on dynamic data. Also, isnt there anyway to use *switch* function to make this work within data model?
A couple best practices issues: never, ever have spaces and special characters in a column header; why make a data type of text when your column header states it's a number?
Hi You are among alot of others with low subscription never put the sample data to download which is not helpful at all whwn it coms to power bi you need to practice I can'see ant reason not to do so any reason that makes sence???????????
This is the best explanation of the index/modulo functions that I’ve found so far, thank you!
I agree with you!!!
Best video about unstacking tables and rows inside the tables. Crazy!!! Grade A!!! Congratulations on this video!!! Thank you!!!
Im just starting teaching myself power query. Thanks for this. Brilliant stuff.
very smart way to use Modulo to extract and organize this data. thanks, i learned something!!
Awesome! I used to work with unpivot, but this is another level. Thanks
Thank you! Short and informative video. Good to solve current tasks.
thank u so much, already tried it out and works perfectly 🙏😃

+jazzista1967 Thanks Jazzista! I'm glad it helped!
Thank you, very useful for me as a beginner Power Query user.
Very helpful. Did not even occur to me to try this approach. Thank you.
Your video is a life saver, thank you so much
Thanks a lot for this great tutorial.
Thats nice, great explanation, excel sheet attachment would be highly appreciated.
That is really mind-blowing
; thanks for sharing

Gracias por la sugerencia, me sirvió mucho en mi trabajo
Beautiful. Great explanation and learn something today. 👍👍👍
Thanks for the Modulo function. I'didnt know it existed.
Thank you very much wouldn’t amazing video
Good simple explanation of functions.
gracias... buen video
It will help a lot to simplify data organization and alignment
Thank u so much for this nice vedio
Great thanks a lot
Thx a lot! :)

Wouldn't unpivot work better instead of adding several columns? Thanks for a great tutorial.
Smart! ✌️
It's a great video..Can You please provide the datasets, so that we can practise
Seria ótimo disponibilizar a base para prática. Parabéns pelo conteúdo e espero ver mais materiais inteligentes assim ...
Eu criei uma base de dados similar a esta do vídeo para treinar. Se me informar o seu e-mail eu a envio a você.

Wow ❤
Top!!!
good
thanks
why are you not making the other video on Power Query----you did great job
excellent
i will say, knowing VBA would of sped this up IMHO directly from the worksheet, but this was helpful to learn Power Query indepth
100% agree JR.
thank you for the video! what if the number of rows varies until it repeats its self, but it always starts with customer ID? thank you son much
Please do an example of using this function when the rows are unequal. Example 6 row, 10 rows, 3 rows, 6 rows
in other words the rows vary.
I have the same question, does anybody knows what can be done?
great work. can you share excel file for practice
You don't need to do these multiple if columns..all you need to do is to pivot the module column
hi! can you please show your solution pivotting the module column? I am interested to
Exellent explaning. can u put the file to practice?
could you please share data for practice?
Thank you this was awesome, can you please share the file so that we can practice please
Modulo works if the information is in a fixed number of rows - in your case 6. What is that varies from record to record
Where can I download the file?
What if the value of the modulo changes? In this example you told it the number was 6 prior, what if it is it subject to the number of items in each “group?
Good question Donovan. My question exactly. This works if the repeating rows are consistent but I have data where they are not.
utalgreg what I ended up doing was I created 2 columns, and (depending on the amount of data) I made all Items in the group equal “AAA”, the next group was “AAB”....etc. the 2nd Column I used an Index to number everything from 1 down. I also had to index the AAA to ZZZ column too, but it works now
Thanks Donovan.
