- The G7 countries agreed to provide Ukraine with 50 billion dollars of additional funds. This amount will be covered by profits from Russian sovereign assets "frozen" in the West. The arrival of large numbers of asylum seekers as a hybrid war being waged by Russia against the West. The United States and Poland have opened a center for countering Russian disinformation.

Ukraine has done brilliantly in the diplomatic sphere. They are a powerhouse. Considering where Ukraine was before the full-scale invasion, their diplomacy is nothing short of amazing. I say this as one who knows diplomats and is not that much of a fan of diplomacy (long story).
Zalenski is, I believe, the main driver of this. He is a "stud".

The migrant crisis is a real issue worldwide. The current statutes and norms were a result of the treatment of Jews in the 1930s. Such situations are legitimate to consider, but somehow the world has extended this to anyone who wants to migrate.
There is also the issue of how the statutes are implemented. The main principle is that once one gets to a safe country they should then stay there and apply for asylum in that country, or in other countries while staying in that original safe place. So, is Russia indicating that it is not a safe place?

@@louisgiokas2206 It is not the case that people need to apply for asylum in the first safe country they enter. They are allowed to travel to the country that they want to be in and apply for asylum there. But that only counts for true asylum seekers and it is up to the receiving country to determine if that is the case. The biggest trouble lies with the unwillingness to process those people properly and to use them as pawns in a distasteful discussion.
As for Russia, they are hauling rich people out of countries who otherwise would not get a staying permit. They are not refugees. They are even wealthier than the foreigners that they send to the meat grinder in Ukraine. Russia is massively misusing people for its own purposes and trying to add to the already existing problems within Europe.
@@telebubba5527 That is not how it is supposed to work. This has been repeated many, many times. It is also the basis of President Biden's recent executive order in the US. It has been a discussed at the European level as this crisis has escalated. You should get your facts in order.
